One of three Wilmes brothers in the Winterset starting five, Hudson is a knockdown shooter, especially off the catch with unlimited range and a quick release. He moves really well without the ball in his hands, utilizing off-ball screens to free himself, and when he has his feet set, few in the state are dynamic off the catch as he is. He showed some solid court vision and ball-handling in the Huskies’ win over Carroll as well, dishing out 3 assists in addition to his 22 points on 5-11 shooting (5-10 3P, 7-7 FT). He also uses his speed to his advantage on the defensive end, using quick hands and good instincts to jump passing lanes or pick opposing ball handlers clean, coming away with 6 steals in the win.
