Bloomington North beats Bloomington South on last second shot
Last night saw one of the best rivalries in the state live up to the hype down in southern Indiana between Bloomington North and Bloomington South. In an overtime thriller, Bloomington North was able to knock off city rival Bloomington South 56-53 with a near buzzer beater from sophomore guard Jalen Williams Jalen Williams 6'4" | SG Bloomington North | 2026 State IN . For Bloomington North, Connor O’Guinn led with 15 points while Luke Lindeman Luke Lindeman 6'6" | SF Bloomington North | 2025 State IN and Jalen Williams Jalen Williams 6'4" | SG Bloomington North | 2026 State IN had 14 each. South was led by Vincent Moutardier with a game-high 23 point. With the win, Bloomington North extends to a 4-game winning streak over Bloomington South, which is the first since the 1970’s. The Cougars are currently riding a 3-game winning streak this season.
Heritage Hills wins 7th straight
The Heritage Hills Patriots continue to roll in Class 3A. Last night, four-star junior forward Trent Sisley Trent Sisley 6'8" | PF Heritage Hills | 2025 State #47 Nation IN finished with 25 points to lead Heritage Hills over Gibson Southern 69-63 to earn their 7th straight win. In this stretch, the Patriots have beaten teams such as Evansville Memorial, Mount Vernon (Posey), Corydon Central, and others. They currently sit at 11-1 on the season with their only loss coming to Guerin Catholic, who they could possible meet again come the postseason.
Danville and Avon advance to Hendricks County Championship.
The Hendricks County Tournament finals are set tonight! In the semifinal games last night, both Danville and Avon advance to tonight’s championship game. Undefeated Danville defeated Tri-West 53-38 behind an Indiana football commit Evan Lawrence Evan Lawrence 6'6" | C Danville | 2024 State IN double-double of 13 points and 15 rebounds. Avon defeated Plainfield 51-48 off a wild half court buzzer beater from junior Rohan Pearson. Tonight’s championship game is set for 8 pm.
