Johnson’s recruitment came to an end when he announced that he will attend Arkansas State University. One of New England’s top prospects, Johnson had a terrific season at Putnam Science Academy and might have been under-recruited nationally. The big wing is a smooth three-level scorer that makes it look effortless at times. He has great positional size and length and could potentially play anywhere from the two-guard to power-forward at the next level. Offensively, he’s comfortable making decisions with the ball in his hands and does a good job of elevating over the defense to get off his jump shot. He should be able to make an immediate impact in the Sun Belt and has a chance to be the league’s top first-year performer next winter.
