With over 30 teams and hundreds of college coaches in attendance, the Hoop Hall Prep Showcase had tons of talent from all over the country and is always one of the top events in the country.
Here’s a look at part four of the standouts from the New England schools in attendance.
Justin Johnson Justin Johnson 6'8" | SF Putnam Science Academy | 2024 State New E | 6’6” WG | Putnam Science 2024
Johnson is perhaps the most talented available player in the New England area, as he has been on an absolute tear all season for PSA and makes it look easy while doing it. He has great positional size that will translate to the next level, he’s a natural scorer from all over the floor and he is efficient throughout the game with the ability to takeover the game when needed to as well. He finished with 14 points on 6-for-10 shooting from the field in their loss to Vermont Academy and 19 points on 6-for-7 shooting from the field and 4-for-4 from deep in their win over Cushing.
Amdy Ndiaye Amdy Ndiaye 6'11" | C Putnam Science Academy | 2024 State New E | 6’9” PF | Putnam Science 2024
The Pittsburgh commit is part of one of the most talented front courts in the country, and he showed his major upside moving forward throughout the event. At 6’9” he has long limbs and is very mobile with the ability to get up and down and switch defensively, he can play above the rim on catch and finishes and in transition and he has good touch with his back to the basket and from the midrange too. He finished with 13 points and 6 rebounds in their win over Cushing.
Fallou Gueye Fallou Gueye 6'6" | SF Putnam Science Academy | 2024 State New E | 6’6” WF | Putnam Science 2024
The Sacred Heart commit is one of the most underrated players in New England, and he showed why throughout the event making plays on both ends of the floor. He’s a superb athlete with long arms and an explosive leaper who can play above the rim in transition, he can guard multiple positions on the defensive end and he can knock down shots when he’s left open. He finished with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals in their loss to Vermont Academy and 8 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in their win over Cushing.
Ben Ahmed Ben Ahmed 6'10" | C Putnam Science Academy | 2026 State New E | 6’8″ C | Putnam Science 2026
Ahmed made a name for himself as a freshman last year on PSA’s national championship team and this year he’s continuing to show why he’s already being highly sought after by high majors. He’s a throwback style big man who is a force in the paint with his size and strength, he’s deceptively quick in the post, he has great touch around the rim and he draws a lot of contact and gets other bigs in foul trouble. He finished with 8 points and 7 rebounds in their win over Cushing and 11 points and 5 rebounds in their loss to Cushing.
Nate Guerengomba Nate Guerengomba 6'4" | SG South Kent | 2024 State New E | 6’4” WG | South Kent 2024
The Umass commit has been one of the most productive players in the NEPSAC over the last few years, and this was no different this weekend as he was efficient and productive across the board. He’s a physical wing who can get downhill and use his size to touch the paint and finish in traffic, he can score the ball in bunches from all over the court and he can make plays for others as well. He finished with 19 points on 6-for-9 shooting from the field and 3-for-5 from deep with 5 assists in their win over Brimmer & May, and had 14 points in their loss to Sunrise Christian.
Jojo Wallace Jojo Wallace 6'4" | CG South Kent | 2024 State New E | 6’2” CG | South Kent 2024
It’s been fun watching Wallace develop over the last few years, as the Iona commit has gotten better and better over the last few seasons and has become a dual threat guard who can run the show and take over when he needs to. He has a quick first step and is shifty off the bounce to get to spots and touch the paint, he can make tough shots from deep and in the midrange and he puts pressure on the defense and sets the tone defensively. He finished with 14 points in their loss to Sunrise and had 25 points in their win over Brimmer & May.
