Stefan Todorvic
Furtah Prep opened the morning with a runaway win over Discovery and it was Stefan Todorvic that carried the scoring load off the bench. Todorvic had the hot hand and his teammates kept finding him for open looks. He finished with a game-high 24 points on 6 three-pointers. Furtah Prep continues to unveil international weapons as they collect showcase wins, Todorvic now emerging as another collegiate prospect.
Mt. Pisgah showed a ton of fight on Saturday, clawing back in the 4th quarter to take down Washington. Jackson Williams Jackson Williams 6’4″ | SF Mt. Pisgah | 2026 State GA was the undisputed MVP with 24 points including 9 in the 4th quarter alone. He’s a big guard that knows how to get to the cup and finish over defenders. His energy is contagious and with O’neill Connelly out for a while, Williams looks to be the new leader in the clubhouse. Williams is having a breakout year as a sophomore and college programs should begin keeping tabs on him.
Habersham Central escaped with a narrow 54-53 win over Midtown behind contributions from a number of their top guys. Josiah McCurry Josiah McCurry 6’8″ | C Habersham Central | 2025 State GA finished with 15 points and imposed his will inside. McCurry is a big body center that likes to throw his weight around and Midtown didn’t have an answer for him in the low post. He also showed the ablity to step out and knock down a perimeter shot. Another thing I love about McCurry is that he’s an excellent free throw shooter which can be extremely effective for a guy of his size.
Josh Kavel Josh Kavel 6’2″ | CG Wesleyan | 2024 State GA came out of the gates in attack mode, posting 15 of his 22 points in the 1st half. We’ve known Kavel to be a steady and confident floor general but as the senior leader with Wesleyan, he’s stepped up as a major scoring threat. He finishes well with both hands and really undertands how to manuever around defenders. The outside shot may look unorthodox but Kavel shoots it well and shoots it with confidence. He’d be a great pickup for D3 programs across the southeast.
Highlights
Baldwin made the most of their trip to Atlanta, coming out with a hard-fought win over Wesleyan. Senior shooting guard Isaiah Dennis led with 19 points and single-handedly carried them through the 1st half before Tre Lawrence Tre Lawrence 6’0″ | PG Baldwin | 2024 State GA found his groove later in the game. Dennis connected on multiple three-pointers but it was his pull-up jumper that was most lethal. He can stop and pop in a split second and gets great elevation that allows him to get his shot up over the defender. College programs that are still in need of a sniper should take a good look at Dennis.
