It was really impressive to watch the growth of Eric from a bright, young player to a smart, experienced leader. Gray was named Region 3-3A Player of the Year and became only the second player in Union County High School history to be named 2x All-State. When he’s on his game, he is one of the best Point Guards in the state and would be a steal for a D3 or NAIA program.

put his team on his back when they needed it most. He stepped up with 16 second-half points, looking as aggressive as I have seen him in person. West-Oak simply didn’t have a consistent answer for him defensively, as it felt like he could get to the rim or the free-throw line whenever he wanted. Gray also displayed some terrific defensive instincts, strength through contact on both ends of the floor, and an excellent balance of passing with his efficient scoring. Eric finished with 26 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals in the win.

Eric filled up the stat sheet for Pitt Crew (Union County) on Tuesday, racking up 5 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. He is not always the most aggressive as a scorer, even though he has the talent to, but Gray has tremendous vision and is eager to put his teammates in good positions. He also helps his team win with his effort on the glass on both ends of the floor.
