About Cooper
Expert Analysis
Devin Record | Prep Hoops Scout
Cooper is a big offensive threat who can go off at any moment. He started the season by having a 40+ point perfromance which showed his ability to hit deep shots with ease off the catch. He creates space for himself nicely by using his strong frame and can also get down-hill and attack the bucket. He’s underrated in the state but can definitely play at a 4 year school.

Hartley started his year off with a bang, dropping in 42 points against Mt Tahoma. The 6-foot-4 wing started it off by nailing catch-and-shoot looks, identifying space and taking advantage of it both from the midrange and behind the arc. Later on, he started attacking the paint, using pump fakes outside to get a step and then playing strong off two to split defenders inside. Toward the end of the game, he started hitting from outside again and really kept defenders guessing on what he wanted to do.

The junior from Sumner is a solid all-around wing who has good size and defensive versatility. He can matchup with multiple positions and skillsets, rebounds well on both ends, and has a pretty good spot up stroke from behind the arc. Hartley shows some strength and touch to finish inside and through bodies at the rim too.

A good-sized wing, Hartley splashed in a couple of corner threes and was able to do his part defensively to make things tough for Kentwood, leading to the Sumner win.
