In this article, we’ll focus on five players who are going under the radar but have skillsets that could help them excel at the next level.
Robinson always played bigger than his 6’4 height, but now he’s in his man body. He plays hard and makes smart plays. He’s a multinational defender contributing to the offense as a corner three shooter, finisher, and playmaker from the elbow and wing.
Lucca Reinehr | Olympia
The 6’8 face-up four has sweet feet and crafty moves from the high post. The senior forward can take bigs off the dribble in straight lines and use physicality and upfakes to create open looks in the paint. He’s a good offensive rebounder who scores on putbacks or finds the open guy. A patient decision-maker with solid vision.
Reggie White | Williston
White has winner written all over him. He plays with passion and an IQ that makes him a coach on the floor. Thanks to a college-ready physique and next-level athleticism, White can get to the rim at will but doesn’t force the offense. He’s a downhill playmaker who places passes in areas only his teammates can reach. He is an efficient scorer who looks to get his teammates involved first.
Jacob Rogers | Tampa Catholic
Rogers couldn’t miss Saturday morning. He’s scored all 12 points beyond the line shooting 4 for 6 from three. Decent size at six feet tall with a quick release.
Caleb Pennyfeather | Oviedo
The 6’9 combo forward did a bit of everything to help his team win. He has the wing skills to hit pull-up midrange jumpers and an effective handle for his size. He’s a long, athletic defender who can step in front of wings and forwards. He has a decent athletic pop and can affect shots at the rim at this level. Currently being scouted at the D2 level.
Taylor is a lead guard who can create his in-shot anywhere on the floor. A good playmaker who can manipulate defenses to give his teammates easy looks. He is a solid athlete who can use his speed to pickpockets.
