Elk River vs Cambridge Game Prospect Review

Junior led Elk River in scoring in this game with 21 points. Spanier made five shots from the floor including a 3-pointer but was very effective getting to the free throw line as he shot 12 for the game. Spanier's skill is really showcased as a secondary ball handler, as he can make plays for others a little bit, and spot-up and make shots for himself.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1560841' first='Dominic' last='Webster'] - Six-foot-four-inch 2026 sophomore forward/center from Elk River. Webster scored 12 points, eight rebounds and 2 blocks. Webster showed ability inside as he made 4 of 6 shots and some range by knocking down an outside 3-pointer. Webster as an 8th grader showed good ability as a passer out of the high-post. It's really good to see him getting quality minutes as a sophomore.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1617803' first='Tristan' last='Caouette'] - Six-foot-one-inch guard from Elk River. The 2024 Senior scored 10 points for the game, and struggled from outside the arc. Caouette however showed a good touch on floaters and inside 10-foot shots. Defensively he was active to collect steals and collect deflections, especially off the ball.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1434072' first='Elias' last='Dee'] - Five-foot-ten-inch 2024 guard from Cambridge-Isanti. Dee was a tough guard for Elk River, he made five 3-pointers, and handed out four assists. The lefty shooter came off screen for one three, made 3 spot-ups, and had shot fake moving to his left in the 2nd half. Defensively he put himself in position to collect a couple steals and twice blocked shots. One from behind on a 3-point attempt and another showed good anticipation.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Emerson Droubie - Six-foot-five-inch 2025 forward from Cambridge-Isanti. Droubie has a 16 point, 6 rebound and 4 steal performance. Making shots outside and inside, Droubie showed good shooting form and a solid release. He was active on the offensive boards to give his team extra opportunities, made one pretty good pass from a high post set for a basket, and solid anticipation inside and on the perimeter for steals.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1434066' first='John' last='Troolin'] - Six-foot-three-inch 2024 guard from Cambridge-Isanti. Troolin over the years has proven to be a big time scorer for Cambridge, either from the perimeter or getting to the basket. Versus Elk River Troolin struggled a bit with his shooting going 2 of 13 from the field. However he did an excellent job getting opportunities for his teammates collecting 6 assists. He also hit the boards collecting 7 rebounds.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
