Brunswick has gotten off to a hot start this season and their senior guard duo of Barnett and

is the biggest reason why. Barnett is an elite 3-point shooter who was knocking down shots off the catch and bounce on Sunday. I also liked that Barnett dove on the ground for a loose ball and was flying around the court. Brunswick still has a lot of games at marquee events for fans to see them across the state.

Barnett was another prospect who increased his stock at midwest live thanks to his elite 3-point shooting ability. With his athleticism and ability to make shots, he’ll have college programs looking to make him a plug and play guard at the scholarship level. His two older brothers ended up at Presbyterian and Walsh out of high school and I’d expect Sean to end up at a similar level program when he makes his decision. Brunswick will be looking to make a deep run with arguably the best backcourt in Ohio.

Barnett is a big and strong wing who plays with great aggressiveness. He is a physical player who wears opponents down throughout the course of a game. He has great long strides to the rim that allow him to beat you to his spot. He is a great straight-line driver. He has a high motor and scores the ball extremely well. He knows how to play the game the right way, and this was seen with his willing passing.

. Sean is a younger brother of two talented guards playing at the college level, Sean is next in line for the Barnett family that keeps producing talented basketball players. With the quickness, burst and athleticism to compete athletically and a smooth 3-point shot, Barnett checks boxes that colleges immediately look for with shooting guards.

A tough, hard-nosed guard out of Brunswick High School for Ohio Basketball Club , Barnett was a consistent producer throughout the weekend at the Queen City Clash. The 6’1″ playmaker can really shoot it from beyond the arc and proved himself as a scrappy defender as well.

All it took was about two minutes for Barnett to earn standout performer status. In the second quarter, Barnett knocked down four 3-pointers in rapid succession to blow the doors off a close game and Brunswick wouldn’t hold back with a comfortable victory when it was all said and done. Watch out for the Blue Devils who have really hit their stride recently with some marquee wins as we head closer to playoff action.

Barnett caught fire in the third quarter knocking down five 3-pointers. A quick athlete, Barnett also scored off a backdoor cut and had an and-1 off a drive set up by a pump fake. One of the top dual sport athletes in northeast Ohio’s 2026 class, Barnett will be crucial if the Blue Devils want to get past the regional bracket this season.

The third Barnett brother is on his way to following in his older brothers’ footsteps as college basketball players. The oldest Marquis is currently at Kent State while the Quinn is at Walsh. I’ve been impressed with the burst and athleticism Sean plays with, very similar to the way his siblings also played on the court. I’m impressed with the dynamic play Barnett has on the ball with the ability to change speeds, direction and be acrobatic in the air as a shooter or passer. Also a standout quarterback, Barnett could choose the gridiron as his collegiate future as well and some of his creativity on the hardwood can probably be traced to him scrambling around with a helmet on during the fall. A fun player to watch in northeast Ohio’s 2026 class.
