Prep Hoops Missouri ventured to the SWMO area to watch the first-round games at the Republic Tournament. In the four games, Ozark defeated Park Hill South, Springdale (AR) defeated Hillcrest, Rogers (AR) defeated host Republic and Liberty defeated Rolla. In the first of our series of stories from the Republic Tournament, here is a look at my Starting Five from Wednesday Night's First Round Games that I watched.

Isaiah Sealey (Springdale, AR): A 6'7" 2025 guard from Arkansas, Isaiah is a four-star prospect with heavy Division I interest and offers; and he looked every bit the part in his team's victory over Hillcrest in the first round. He scored 23 points and made it look rather easy as he displayed a nice shooting stroke from 3-point range. He was also creating well off the dribble for pull up jumpers and slashing drives in the lane. He also works well in the low post as he flashed a nice turnaround jumper and a jump hook over the left shoulder from the baseline.

******

Zach Aganovic (Liberty): The 6'6" 2024 forward was a force in the paint in the Blue Jays victory over Rolla. He scored 16 points, but he dominated the boards as he grabbed at least 15 rebounds. He had eight offensive rebounds as he was just scouring the glass at every opportunity. His motor was running from start to finish as he dominated the action in the paint. If he didn't score, he could pass out of the double team to an open teammate. He was also capable of putting the ball of the floor to score on a drive. He also led the fast break and dropped a few nice dimes in transition.

******

[player_tooltip player_id='1790000' first='Ethan' last='Brown'] (Rolla): A 6'4" 2026 guard who is one of the top young prospects in the tournament. He has a smooth demeanor about him as he can score at all three levels while also being able to set up his teammates with some nifty room-services passes that led to easy baskets. His shooting range extends well beyond the 3-point line, but he is also very good when he's attacking the basket going left where he can pull up for the jumper or score on the left hand scoop high off the glass. He has already received multiple Division I scholarship offers early in his sophomore season.

******

[player_tooltip player_id='2544971' first='Hudson' last='Roberts'] (Ozark): The 6'4" 2025 guard scored 24 points in the Tigers victory over Park Hill South in the first round. The long and lean lefty got things started early when he knocked down a pair of 3-pointers at the beginning of the game. He comes off screens and plays without the ball very well. He is also very good with the ball in his hands as he can create off the dribble with nifty moves into the lane or when he gets to the middle area for the pull up jumpers. He can also go inside and score over smaller defenders as he uses his height to his advantage.

*****

[player_tooltip player_id='1845985' first='Colby' last='Kiedrowski'] (Park Hill South): A 5'9" 2024 point guard who scored a game-high 26 points against Ozark in the first round. He is a tough-minded guard who attacks the basket as relentlessly as any player that you'll see. He's left-handed and he wants to get downhill. It's probably at the top of the scouting report. But it doesn't matter because he's getting to the basket anyway for a either a bucket or a trip to the free throw line. He can also finish with a nice floater in the lane with his right hand, much like NBA veteran guard Mike Conley. He also loosened up the defense with a pair of 3-pointers in the second half.
