Frye is a very gifted athlete that is starting to turn his potential into production at the perfect time as he gears up for this 17u summer with No Guts No Glory NC UA Rise 17u. Frye has real vertical pop that allows him to make momentum shifting plays with regularity. As he’s gotten more consistent minutes throughout his high school career, he’s shown the ability to make mid range pull ups along with threes off the catch, making him a more viable option in the half court. With that said, he is so dynamic in transition as he’s got that vertical athleticism with long arms and an aggressive approach. With No Guts No Glory NC , Frye has a chance to show his game on a great platform with UA Rise that will have coaches at all of his games where the athleticism will really stand out. Frye’s development curve is sharpening quickly and should be a consistent standout with his new group this summer. He is trending in the right direction and should have many special above the rim moments with this group.

Frye is a very unique prospect with his positional size, athletic gifts, and steadily improving skillset. Fyre proved to be a consistent producer for Southern Wake Academy this year as he was really able to show his ability in high school ball on a team that did a whole lot of winning. Frye will be playing on the UA Rise Circuit for No Guts No Glory NC this spring/summer and I think he’ll get a chance to prove he can be a productive part of a winning team vs really quality competition. Frye averaged 12.7 Points, 3.5 Rebounds, 2.0 Assists, 1.1 Steals, and 0.5 Blocks per game with 55/34/52 shooting splits. Frye developed just from getting the experience he did this season at Southern Wake in a primary role. He’s got real above the rim pop, outside touch, and the improving skillset. If he can maintain similar production, be a more impactful rebounder, and just continue to progress during this spring/summer, he will undoubtedly rise in the next update.

Frye and Southern Wake are the bonafide NCHSAA 1A contender as they have a 16-4 record after really testing themselves in the non-conference portion of their schedule. Frye is averaging 12.2 Points, 3.7 Rebounds, 1.8 Assists, and 3.1 Steals per game. He’s doing all of that on 53/33/51 splits as well. Frye is a real mismatch at the 1A level as he’s a wing with real positional size, above the rim athleticism, and the ability to showcase his perimeter skill. There’s still some refinement that is bound to happen in his game but he’s a really tough check regardless of the level and the fact that he’s in 1A makes him primed for some big moments on what is shaping up to be a special playoff run for Southern Wake. As Frye continues to stack reps and experience, I fully expect him to make more and more noise as we head into his 17u summer and senior season.

Frye is a prospect who’s growing in the 2027 class as he’s given more to do on the floor; played strong with the NC Wildcats and finished with 17 pts, 12 rebs, and 5 asts in his final game at the PHL Finals; crafty off the bounce and an athletic finisher who can also create for others and rebound in bunches

Frye has been a consistent presence in the Panther Creek attack on both ends of the floor; he utilizes his length well at 6-foot-5 to make things happen on the hardwood and is even more of as threat getting downhill and making plays around the rim

Frye and NC Wildcats came up just short in the first round, losing to the eventual champion Upward Stars Pee Dee by just one point. However, Justin left a great first impression on me earning him a spot in this list. He is a rangy wing who is an aggressive scorer and an all-around difference-maker. Frye has good positional size and athleticism, allowing him to shoot over defenders, be a lob threat in transition, and protect the rim. Justin stacked the box sheet in the opener, putting up 21 points, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 1 steal.

Frye is a prospect who has shown he can operate in a variety of ways already at 6-foot-4 in the 2027 class as he debuts at No. 40 in the latest rankings update. He’s listed at the small forward spot given his ability to operate at the combo guard, wing and forward role with his length and athleticism. Offensively, he’s shown he can create for himself and others and knock down shots on the perimeter. Defensively, he’s shown he can hold his own and defend the 1-4 spot with his strong frame and knack for rebounding the basketball. He’s a name out of Panther Creek High to keep an eye on in the class.

is a name to get to know with

on the independent stage. He’s shown he can operate with a high motor on the wing as a perimeter shooter and slasher. He’s figuring things out in the open court with his ability to make an impact as a slasher and slowly climbing up the PH radar as a prospect to be ranked.

Frye is a name who should become well-known throughout the Triangle next season as he looks to make an impact on his Panther Creek group. Playing with NC Wildcats now, he’s shown off a versatile scoring punch by getting to the rim with some creative finishing as well as showing some touch on his jumper. Also a big guard/wing who can create for his teammates with the ball in his hands. With confidence, he could be a true multi-positional threat and vault up the 2027 rankings.
