The first 2024 rankings of the '23-'24 season have been released, and here are players who were on the move…

Keshawn Watkins (6'5/F/Columbia)

X/Twitter: @kehoops_

Keshawn found movement in the rankings and saw his position move up 12 spots from #49 to #37. He is a very physical player with a big-time motor and high energy. He is a match-up nightmare with a lot of versatility to his game, as smaller defenders can't defend him inside, and bigger defenders can't keep up with him out on the perimeter. He is a willing defender who has the ability and quickness to defend guards and the strength and size to hold his own in the paint. He makes the first rankings of the season at #37, but don't be surprised that his stock ends up being one of the fastest-rising stocks throughout the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2262463' first='Demeriss' last='Carroll'] (6'0/PG/Sparkman)

X/Twitter: @demeriss21

Demeriss makes his debut in the 2024 rankings at #65. He is a big-bodied facilitator with elite athleticism, which helps him get to the rim and finish over and through bigs. He uses his handles to get to his spots, and when he arrives, namely in the mid-range, he has the ability to elevate and knock down the jumper. He is a solid 3-point shooter who keeps defenders from being able to sag off and provide help. His physical build, specifically his broad shoulders, along with his physical play, often neutralizes quicker guards and their active hands on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1711204' first='Namon' last='Hobson'] (6'2/G/Lee-Huntsville)

Namon made a gigantic jump in the rankings as he moved from the #98 to the #69 spot. He is an unorthodox lefty with a quick first step and keeps defenders guessing his every move. He has a consistent middle game and does a good job not over-penetrating. He has end-to-end speed with the ball in his hands and is an effective leader out in transition. Namon is very active on defense and plays the passing lanes very well.

K'mal Bell (5'11/G/Good Hope)

X/Twitter: @BellKmal

K'mal finds himself in the rankings for the first time, and he debuts at #63. He is a big-time shooter who can get it done in c&s opportunities as well as off the dribble. He is a heady combo guard who plays within himself and doesn't lose the game for his squad. He values the ball and is a key piece to the success of Good Hope this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1574465' first='Sayiid' last='Allen'] (6'7/SF/Hazel Green)

X/Twitter: @SayiidAllen

Sayiid saw slight movement as he dropped from #64 to #70. A drop in ranking does not necessarily mean a player has digressed, but it often has a lot to do with what has happened above him, which is the case for Sayiid. There is a lot of excitement in the Hazel Green camp as they believe their stretch 4, who can really knock down the open 3, will play a huge role this year. He runs the floor in transition and often catches opposing bigs, not getting back on D. Regarding Sayiid on the defensive end of the floor, he is an instinctive shot blocker and active rebounder, which many feel are his best traits.

[player_tooltip player_id='2262460' first='Trey' last='Kellogg'] (6'5/F/Covenant)

X/Twitter: @TreyKellogg3

Trey makes his debut in the 2024 rankings at the #64 spot. He has good positional size, and his wingspan, which is perhaps his best attribute, helps him to block shots and rebound at a high rate. He is very instinctive and does a good job tracing the ball, especially on the offensive glass, giving his team extra opportunities. He is a great teammate who doesn't need to score to contribute, and he doesn't mind picking up the slack wherever needed.
