About Shae

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Blend length, strength, and basketball IQ affecting both ends of the floor. Strong in man-to-man situations, help defense, and can switch onto multiple positions, guarding smaller wings or big men inside. Offensively, demonstrates court vision finding teammates and making smart plays rather than forcing the action. Can battle inside for rebounds to step out making plays on the perimeter.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am calm and stay cool under pressure. l maintain focus in tough moments. I’m always trying to improve my game and accept feedback. I am disciplined and committed as well as coachable and a reliable player. I think of myself as being level-headed, a true team player, and someone who can be counted on both on and off the court while always trying to improve my game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Freshman year I received 2nd team all district and player of the game in tournaments

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed leadership by having composure and consistency, and I always put the team first. I like to think I am reliable, coachable, and supportive. Working together is important and not making it about one person. I focus on working hard, teamwork, and continued learning.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve faced challenges like adjusting to a coaching change, handling less playing time, recovering and returning from injury, and transferring schools during my junior year. These experiences taught me how to stay focused, adapt, and keep working hard no matter the circumstances. They made me stronger, more resilient, and committed to improving and contributing to my team.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am open to learning about different programs and want to be in an environment where I can help make a difference.
