PHH Prep Classic: SG’s

There were 20+ prep teams in attendance over the weekend from OR, CA, WA, MN and Arizona.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Here were some of the standout 2024-25 SG's: (Which includes some of the best shooters in the state).</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='856640' first='Marcus' last='Fizer Jr'] Phhoenix Prep OTE&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A bigger sized scoring guard's skill keeps polishing up from the three point line. He has elite positional size to defend and will take charges. He is a good offensive rebounder who does a little bit of everything. He is also athletic to flush it down on the break.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2092765' first='Carmelo' last='Adkins'] Phhoenix Prep OTE&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the top scoring guards is a deep three point shooter and is good on the break. He is a plus rebounder for his size and is quick on the ball defensively. He has range and a very quick trigger. He squares up flawlessly and will let it fly instantly. He has plus size and will rebound in his area and is a good positional defender. &nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2107071' first='Dasio' last='Gonzales'] Eduprize</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A scoring guard is one of the best standstill catch shooters from beyond the three point line in the state simply put. He is smart to move without the ball and will make the extra pass. He can pull-up but is best catching it.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2232322' first='Juan' last='Martinez'] AZ Sol</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A knockdown shooter who is best off the catch but can shoot it off the dribble. He has a sneaky quick first step to get to the basket and is an unselfish play maker. He made some&nbsp;nice passes to his teammates and plays with a big IQ. &nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2134327' first='Trevon' last='Harrison'] Premier Prep Tucson</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A fast and athletic scoring guard flies on the break. He can make the catch three, he has a fast first step and is very quick on the ball defensively.&nbsp;&nbsp;His speed and quick-twitch reflexes allow him to achieve many of his skills. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1256520' first='Ty' last='Virgil'] Phheonix Prep National</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A bigger scoring guard has a pretty looking jumper. He can pull-up from mid-range or catch and shoot it with deep range. He moves the ball more and uses his size and length inside to rebound and score. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2133596' first='Marcel' last='Calvin'] Paragon Prep</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A long guard who plays the passing lanes. He can pull-up from mid-range and has a very quick first step to get to the rim. He can block shots in his area and has fast hands to deflect passes. He has a floater game and a good feel for the game. He makes his triples off the catch or off the pull. He plays good positional defense with a huge IQ.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
