Class of 2016 Transfers of Note

<p>The class of 2016 will have some changes when the new rankings come out for sure but for now we will look at the players who switched schools for their senior year. Some stayed within the state while a couple entered the state. Multiple players transferred out of state or ended up staying out of state when we thought otherwise. This list includes 13 athletes who fit those categories.</p><h2>Transfer within State</h2><p>The most notable transfer within the state is that of <strong>Cameron Lard</strong> from Natchitoches Central to Landry-Walker. The 6&#39;9 nationally ranked big man makes Landry-Walker a favorite in 5A. Next is <strong>Braxton Bernard</strong> who dropped 50 in a game for Donaldsonville last year but will at Madison Prep this year. He is still awaiting an LHSAA approval to play. <strong>Micah Hill</strong> will go from crosstown rival Capitol to McKinley to play for Harold Boudreaux. The 6&#39;3 guard will help them tremendously.</p> <p>5&#39;10 PG <strong>Lonnie Johnson</strong> is getting multiple college looks and will be at Vision Academy this year instead of Neville. They don&#39;t play in LHSAA but still are in the state. Another player who is still in the state is <strong>Andrew Epps </strong>who is a 2016 F with Louisiana Christian Academy now after playing at LCA. <strong>Lane Bolner</strong> is fresh off a state runner-up with Salmen and will play his senior year at Hahnville. </p> <h2>Transfer out of State</h2><p>There are five players who won&#39;t be playing in the state of Louisiana like previously believed. LSU commit <strong>Skylar Mays</strong> is headed to Findlay Prep for his final year. After two state titles and numerous records at UHigh, he had little left to prove in the state. <strong>JC Younger</strong> will head to IMG Academy in Florida to play on a very deep roster as a wing. With numerous D1 offers, this is a chance to make a bigger name for himself.</p> <p>Big man <strong>Raymone Lampkin</strong> won&#39;t be at Helen Cox this year. He&#39;s headed to prep school in attempt to get eligible for college. He&#39;s raw but has the body and athleticism to become a player at 6&#39;11. <strong>Drake Davis </strong>isn&#39;t at Dunham and hasn&#39;t been for a season or two but there is always talk of his return. He put that to bed when he decided to make football his main sport and play at IMG Academy. <strong>Antwaan Anderson </strong>from St. Pauls moved to Texas where he&#39;ll finish his school career.</p> <h2>Transfer back to the State</h2><p>There are two transfers who have played in the state in the past but weren&#39;t here recently. First of all is <strong>Khalea Turner</strong> who has played for or been enrolled at Riverside, John Curtis, and Findlay Prep among others. He is now at Helen Cox to finish his senior year. The 6&#39;9 PF/C has a high basketball IQ and will certainly help a Cox team that lost a lot of seniors last year. <strong>Christian Woodson</strong> will play at De La Salle after being at Cardinal Hayes in the Bronx in New York last year.</p>
