Recruiting Report: Joshua Wenneborg (2016)

At Horizon HS the focus &amp; attention in the post is on 2016 6'8 forward<strong> Jake Hess</strong> however there is another long forward in 2016 6'5 forward Joshua Wenneborg. Wenneborg is a highly slept on student-athlete who is very athletic and skilled that will help Horizon make a deep playoff push in division 1. When asked about this past summer league for Horizon, Josh spoke very highly of his experience saying, "summer league went well, I averaged about 8-10 points per game playing for Coach <strong>Jerry Conner</strong> in his system. I also rebounded the ball very well and that was almost more valuable than my scoring." In July, Wenneborg played AAU for <strong>Arizona Power North</strong> coached by <strong>John Jensen</strong>. Power North spend the later half in July playing in California &amp; Las Vegas and had very good experiences playing some of the "higher end" talent in the west coast. Moving into the 2015-16 season Joshua feels that Horizon has a chance to make a really good run into the postseason. "Horizon is going to be very good I think and make a run in the state playoffs this year, we are going to surprise a lot of people this year." In terms of college recruitment Joshua says, "I have a couple D3 colleges looking at me. When I look for a college I am looking for a bigger school that offers a good education." When asked what he needs to work on, Wenneborg said he will look at improving his "vertical jumping, and overall skill set."
