Team 5 Standouts
Cameron Thomas Cameron Thomas 6'3" | PG Mount Carmel | 2025 State IL (Mt. Carmel – 2025)
Thomas was excellent in the up and down setting. Strong bodied guard with broad shoulders. He was a dominant scorer from all three levels. Shot it well from three on spot ups and pulling up from beyond the arc. Also mixed in some stop and pop jumpers from mid-range along with some runners. Got to the rim when he wanted squaring his shoulders and getting to the cup whether in the half court or getting a head of steam behind him in transition. Finished very well around the hoop. Threw a couple bullet passes. Combo guard is going to play a huge role on a Caravan team that has state title hopes.
Myair Thompson Myair Thompson 6'0" | PG Kankakee | 2026 State IL (Kankakee – 2026)
This sophomore cracked our initial rankings because of what we saw with 1Dream along with his high school team over the summer. The shifty left handed lead guard has the ball on a string putting defenders in spin cycles and finishes well around the hoop while also making regular trips to the foul line. Snuck his head in for a few rebounds as well from his guard position.
Dustyn Collins (Centralia – 2025)
Collins is a prospect that really made a name for himself as we didn’t see him play during the summer on the grassroots circuit. The 6’5” power forward has a broad shouldered frame with decent athleticism. He can really rebound in bunches on both ends with a pretty good second jump. Active defender that had several swats including a couple back to back along with using his hands swiping for steals when defending in space. Good hands around the hoop and runs the floor hard.
Ethan Gay Ethan Gay 6'3" | CG Bolingbrook | 2024 IL (Bolingbrook – 2024)
Bolingbrook guard is an active defender that can turn them into points on the other end. Slip pass, crossed man up for runner, and hit a spot up three from the corner.
Cooper Mellican (St. Charles North – 2026)
This 6’3” sophomore has quality size on the wing with the ability to convert on sweeping layups, spin moves, and even drained a nice pick/pop shot.
Team 6 Standouts
Dwayne Flowers (Prosser – 2024)
The Prosser guard made a very strong impression in my first eval of him. Our Steve Parham has been a fan for a while. He should move into our next 2024 update after this performance. The 6’3” shooting guard has a smooth offensive game being able to put it on the deck and get to the cup for a variety of finishing moves with either hand. Very slick ball handler that plays with good pace. Likes to attack on the baseline for buckets and utilize euro steps. Also showed some creativity and flair as an off the ball passer. One to watch early in the season!
Camden Vine Camden Vine 6'4" | SF Saint Charles North | 2025 State IL (St. Charles North – 2025)
Vine is a good sized wing that did a nice job finishing around the cup on dump offs an putting it on the deck on straight line takes for finishes at the cup. Also hit the offensive glass.
Kenaz Jackson Jr. Kenaz Jackson Jr. 6'3" | SG Kankakee | 2026 State IL Jr (Kankakee – 2026)
This shooting guard has nice length and proved to be a good passer. Threw a nice outlet on the money also with a quick dump off dish. Rebounded well in traffic and displayed a soft touch on a runner.
Kevin Cathey (Bolingbrook – 2024)
The Bolingbrook guard finished around the hoop on dump off passes, looked comfortable on a corner three, and got out in transition.
