Heck, Caleb is so busy the rumor is that he only has time to eat at halftime of games (as a freshman he asked for pizza at the halftime of a game). As far as basketball goes he didn’t have the time others did to play grassroots spring/summer ball but he was always active.
“This summer I worked out quite a bit and worked on my individual moves quite a bit,” Schwabe.
That was in between legging out doubles and getting ready for football. Of course there is always time for working on ball handling and the jumper.
A year ago the Thompson Tommies started well winning nine of their first eleven games before a six game February losing streak (lost eight of nine as well) slowed them down.
“We are looking pretty good right now. I would say we have pretty high expectations but we are going to have to prove ourselves!”
The 6-foot-1, 172 pound junior guard averaged 14.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists. Ad 2.5 steals as a junior. He’s already scored 597 career varsity points in 45 games so you can expect his 1,000th point to likely come before his senior year.
College? Oh yeah, somewhere. Some sport. That is a lot to sort out for him though because he’s good at, well, everything.
“I’ve been receiving emails from several schools so far, nothing too big yet, just some interest.”
Expect more to come. Likely schools checking on him for all three sports.
