Point Guards 11 Thru 15: Class of 2024

He is a great running back on the gridiron and true floor general on the basketball court . He is a consistent double digit scorer and makes players around him better with his playmaking ability .He can knock down the open three point shot and is very quick off the dribble getting to the rim. Greg plays great high pressure defense and has knack for creating turnovers. Benton didn't make the playoffs last year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2197029' first='Kheiri' last='Haynes'] 5'9" Zachary</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kheiri is another outstanding senior point guard with great quickness. He was very good off the dribble and dictates the pace of the game. He had multiple double digit scoring games last season. He has great court vision and can knock down the three point shot. Kheiri is also very good on defense and can create turnovers with his quickness. Zachary didn't go to the playoffs last season and are ready for a return to the post season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p> </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1218193' first='Jamarion' last='Thomas'] 6'0" Live Oak</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jamarion is a very good floor general who plays all phases of the game well. He also excels on the football field. He has a nice outside shot from behind the arc and is a excellent passer . He is a good rebounding guard and plays good team defense. Jamarion can create turnovers with his defense and finish in transition. Live oak didn't make the playoffs last season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1508112' first='Romelo' last='Joseph'] 6'2" Lafayette</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Romelo is very athletic point guard who has great size and play making ability. He plays great with the ball in his hands or without. He can knock down open three point shots . Romelo is very hard to stop off the dribble which is the strength of his game. He has great finishing ability. He is one of the better defenders in the state and can guard the one, two or three position. He plays tenacious defense. Lafayette lost in the 1st round of the playoffs last season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1560363' first='Mason' last='Lavergne'] 6'0"</strong> <strong>Dunham</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mason is one of my favorite players in the baton rouge area. He is a true floor general and like a coach on the floor. He is very well coached at Dunham. He was a 1st team all district performer last season. He has a very smooth looking three point shot and is phenomenal from mid-range . He is one of the better passing point guards in the state. Mason is also a really good defender. He has a great all around game. Dunham lost in the state semifinals last season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
