We got a chance to see every team compete at least one time and quite a few guys caught our attention. Here’s a look at some of the players that shined with their shooting ability.
Patrick Kilfoil Patrick Kilfoil 6'0" | PG Jesuit | 2025 State OR (2025 Jesuit) – No question Kilfoil can knock down threes with the best of them and he not only did that at the Expo but the lefty Jesuit junior also pulled a lot more out of his bag a number of quick pull-up Js as well, including a handful in transition.
Isaiah Koehnke Isaiah Koehnke 6'0" | CG Regis | 2025 State OR (2025 Regis) – A classic catch-and-shoot guy, Koehnke spotted up and if left open you could pretty much count it as good. He was particularly comfortable on the wing and showed good ability to move without the basketball to get to the right spots.
Jett Birdsall Jett Birdsall 5'9" | PG Sunset | 2024 State OR (2024 Sunset) – Birdsall was absolutely on fire in the full game of his we watched, torching the defense for 27 points which included three threes. The Sunset senior didn’t just ball hog either as he simply took advantage of the right situations when open shots came about.
Ryan Barone Ryan Barone 6'1" | CG Jesuit | 2026 State OR (2026 Jesuit) – Barone didn’t get a ton of opportunities but the ones he got, his shot looked as pure as anyone’s. The lefty got hot in the full game of his we watched and drained three straight threes in the second half to bolster his team’s lead.
Ryan Fraser Ryan Fraser 6'0" | SG Jesuit | 2025 State OR (2025 Jesuit) – Fraser finished off the event with a bang as he was draining jumper after jumper in his team’s final win of the day. The 6-foot guard has good range out past the three point line but is just as effective just inside the arc with his pull-ups.
Patrick Napierala Patrick Napierala 6'5" | SG Lakeridge | 2024 State OR (2024 Lakeridge) – A shooter with size at 6-foot-5, Napierala showed off a smooth shooting stroke from beyond the arc. In his team’s first game, he drained three treys and seemed most comfortable from the top of the key.
Lennon Greenleaf Lennon Greenleaf 6'0" | PG Putnam | 2024 State OR (2025 Putnam) – Greenleaf is a quick guard who was able to use his fast dribble to create space for step-back jumpers. He seemed to be one of those types of shooters that can be a bit streaky but can really get cooking when he’s hot.
Jackson Bluhm Jackson Bluhm 6'2" | CG Corvallis | 2025 State OR (2025 Corvallis) – Long and lanky, Bluhm used that to his advantage in shooting over defenders. His form was solid and he demostrated good range on his shot as well.
Vardham Deverkonda (2025 California-CA) – Also one of the more explosive athletes at the event, Deverkonda certainly showed he could shoot the ball as well. He consistently shot the ball well from beyond the arc on the day and was overall one of the more talented offensive players in attendance.
