Here is a look at the top Class of 2020 point/combo guards in the over 6 feet division:
Jordan Nesbit 6’5″ Lutheran North: Talented young guard who can play all three perimeter positions. Led his young team to a berth in the Class 3 district championship game as he was North’s top scorer and rebounder. A solid ball handler who can pass the ball and knock down the 17-17 footer. Has a good post game to take advantage of his size. A big upside.
Tayven Glasgow 6’2″ Lee’s Summit West: A strong point guard with a thick body and an excellent set of fundamentals. The southpaw plays under control and at the pace he wants to when he has the ball. He can easily play through contact as he gets to the basket, plus he has 3-point range.
Quenton Shelton 6’2″ Lebanon: Talented young point who enjoyed a big freshman season at Lebanon and also played for MoKan Elite 15U. Has a flashy game with good handles and deep shooting range from long distance. He knows how to create offense for himself and still get his teammates involved in the action.
Dylan Branson 6’3″ Chaminade: A solid all-around combo guard with good size and a big body, which he uses to his advantage to ward off opposing ball handlers who try to pressure him. He is an excellent passer who sets his teammates up well and he can knock down 3-pointers consistently.
Marcus Grant 6’2″ Battle: A very athletic combo guard who came up to the varsity late in the 2017 season to help Battle win a district championship. He is very good when he is in attack mode and playing at a fast pace where he can showcase his explosiveness in the open court.
Adam Sommer 6’3″ Parkway South: A very solid combo guard with good size and an all-around skill set. He has the ability to pass the ball well in transition and thread the needle in a half court game. He can shoot the 3-pointer and use his size to get in the lane off the bounce.
