WV’s 2025 Big School Breakout Players

These players have already had an impact on their respective programs but could also get on the radar of the rest of the state as well as college coaches. The 2025 class is already poised to be the biggest and best recruiting class in WV basketball history. The state is quickly developing into a D2 &amp; D3 basketball factory with out of state college coaches foaming at the mouth to get here and land some of the many recruits, many on this list could be player_id='2208827' first='Navi' last='Hewitt'] is a super athletic wing/guard player from Parkersburg West Virginia.  The recent transfer to AAAA Parkersburg South puts Navi into one of the state's most successful programs in recent years.  A high-flying guard loves to play up-tempo getting out in transition and dunk every chance available.  Verg quick and agile Navi uses his athleticism to his advantage in every way possible.  Most recent having a very notable AAU showing this summer capped by being on TEAM WV in the nationals event in Georgia where he had an outstanding just to pad his summer resume.  Navi is well known on the Big Shots circuit after this past summer but has yet to be well known to high school basketball fans around WV, but it won't take versatile forward type of player that can play positions 3-5, Fitzwater also possesses a pure stroke from three that creates matchup problems for opponents.  A solid fundamental post player and comfy in the paint, look for Fitzwater to put up double double type numbers this upcoming numbers by a sophomore at any level.  Crouch's style of play says guard type skills with forward tendencies.  He loves to get in the paint and make things happen.  No fear when going to the rim and can finish with either hand.  Look for Crouch to have an all-state level season in Pinkerton is a two-way floor general from Winfield WV.  Regarded as a tough and motivated defender, Pinkerton will run the show for Winfield this season and show his skills after a successful summer run with WV Reign.  Recently returning from injury, Pinkerton should be 100% and stronger than every going into the 23-24 coming season for Preston Co.  Surely will defend multiple positions this season and is an aggressive shot blocker close to the basket.  Smith has also shown to be a knock down shooter from three when left open.  We can expect big numbers and plenty of statewide recognition for this up and basketball court this coming season.  Athleticism and a well above average vertical leap that will have him putting out highlight material all season, Jay will be poised to help lead Jefferson back to the state
