They came up short against a gritty Northeastern but Banks was a bright spot finishing in traffic and running the offense pretty solidly. He’s grown about 2 inches since last season and has looked a bit more athletic in transition as well.

Banks is a confident, well-rounded guard who plays with pace and poise. At 6’3, he utilizes his size and athleticism to push the tempo, finish in transition, and create space off the dribble. Banks moves fluidly across the floor, consistently impacting the game with his energy and competitive mindset. His blend of control, versatility, and aggression makes him a reliable producer and a prospect to keep tabs on moving forward. I thought Josiah was one of smoothest players at the event played in long sweatpants. Moves up/down the floor fluidly and used his long arms the passing lanes.

Battled through foul trouble in the first half but he was much more poised in the second half. As he figures out how to control the pace with the ball in his hands, he’s a floor general with a bright future in the 2027 class. He’s a vocal leader and scrappy defender who’s just scratching the surface of what he can do offensively.

He’s shown he can apply pressure defensively and create quite the tone with his prowess on the defensive end. Offensively, as he learns to facilitate and make things happen at the floor general spot, look for his recruitment to grow.
