Vaughn has a big learning curve to adjust to this varsity season given the senior guards ahead of him but it should do him a ton of good as he continues to develop at Weddington. He’s a high-IQ combo guard who can knock down shots on he perimeter and run the show just as well as a playmaking presence. He’ll be one to watch for CC Elite this summer on the PhenomHoops League stage.

Vaughn was an impressive two-way presence in the backcourt for Team 2. He showed off his ability to defend with pressure and didn’t hang his head when things didn’t go his way. He wasn’t afraid to mix it up in the painted area, either. Offensively, he showed he had a nice feel for shooting the ball on the perimeter and should be a solid piece in the future for Weddington High in the 2027 class.

Vaughn is a name out of CC Elite that should turn heads this weekend with his ability to do all the dirty work. Whether it’s making a hustle play to take a charge or force a turnover and finish with a fast break layup, he’s a prospect that’s actively looking to make his presence felt on the floor. He’s a name out of Weddington High that I’m looking forward to seeing at this year’s showcase.
