. He finds himself available for catch and shoot 3s, those shots he’s starting to knock down with more and more efficiency. He’s a presence on the glass, often grabbing the ball and pushing the break, and really embraces having a monster matchup defensively where he takes great pride in his work at that end of the floor. Greensboro Day is a massive favorite to come home with another 3A title, adding to the crowded trophy case that Freddy Johnson has accumulated. Giant’s game translates to the next level and will undoubtedly get more and more attention if GDS can fulfill their mission.

Giant continues to prove himself as one of NC’s top available seniors regardless of position. He’s got great size for a combo guard and is super comfortable in these high level games for Greensboro Day. A true 94 foot player, Giant brings a ton of energy and experience to the Greensboro Day lineup. The lefty has vastly improved his touch from distance over the course of his high school career and should be considered as a reliable player in that aspect of the game. Giant finished with 7 Points, 3 Rebounds, and 2 Assists in the loss to Spire. His defensive efforts really helped his team out early on in the game to keep it close throughout the first half. Giant is showing he can play with the best of the best.

Giant thrived getting to an array of different spots in the two games I saw of him. He has long rangy arms which allow to be in passing lanes and extend over defenders on the attack. He uses his speed to slash. He has a nose for making plays. The southpaw showed he could score from deep.

Giant is an explosive guard prospect to get to know at Greensboro Day School this season. He’ll look to make his presence felt with his ability to run the offense and control the pace with the ball in his hands. He’s a strong-framed guard who’s shown he can rebound in bunches as well as get paint touches and make things happen for others in the open floor.

Giant has been impressive playing up all summer with the NC Spartans and other groups, and has parlayed it into a Division 1 offer and joining PHHoenix Prep in Arizona for the upcoming school year. He’s very athletic and physically mature already, with a strong frame at 6’3 that he uses to overpower opposing guards. Still primarily a slasher in his scoring game, but that frame is what causes him to win most of those battles around the rim. He’s showing improvements in his playmaking and court reading ability, big weapons for what will be a step up in competition next year.
