Skinner showed off his athleticism and speed when sizing up his defender to either rise up for a quick jumper or a layup/dunk through contact. Zolan plays the game at a methodical pace and is always able to control the tempo on offense whenever the ball is in his hands. He makes sound decisions and has great fundamentals on both ends of the floor. He is a player who is never afraid to get physical on defense, bodying up his matchup for several steals or blocks at the basket and he also can finish at the free throw line under pressure. Both squads were physical throughout the contest and Kahozi greatly stood out because of his work on the glass. Wonder came into the game with a workhorse mentality and it proved to help Westlake in the end. Kahozi finished the game with a double-double being physical on the rebounds and driving to the basket finishing at an efficient rate. Kahozi will put his name on the market as one of the sleeper 2024 prospects if he keeps up this hard nosed style of play. McPeters could not be stopped as he was getting to his spots and draining jumpers with poise. AJ showed he has the ability to either beat the defender off the dribble and pull up, or catch and shoot beyond the arc. He also possesses quickness to pump fake and beat his matchup to the rim, drawing the foul almost half the time. AJ has great footwork on defense as well, having the capability to pick up his man full court and stay with him the entire time. Despite having a big defender to go against, Wake showed his ability to readjust and finish over the top of his matchup while absorbing contact. Wesley also lit up the scoreboard from the three point line, showing his ability to step out and hit contested jumpers from long range or handling the ball in a pick and roll scenario, taking the defender to the rim. Wake will play a big role for the Eagles this upcoming season due to the graduation of a key players from last year, so he will be counted upon to capitalize on open looks and matchup advantages. Strayhan always knew where his teammates were on the offensive end and would get them the ball in the flow of the offense. Logan possesses high IQ when he is running the floor and is very effective in transition as well as hitting teammates on the wing and in the corner for open jumpshots. Logan is also great at keeping his matchup on lock on the defensive end of the floor, limiting their points and transition buckets. He showed the ability to score from all three levels of the floor and was able to beat the defense on multiple looks both at the basket and beyond the arc. The thing that most impressed me about Landon was his willingness to crash the boards despite being a guard and a bit undersized compared to most post players. Coaches love a guard who is willing to put their body on the line to do everything from their team and Brown proved in this game that he is one of those players. Landon was physical on defense as well, locking up numerous times and helping swing the momentum of the contest to where Lewisville had a commanding lead towards the end of the matchup.
