AUSA July Prospect Preview

It is almost time to kick off the summer for the Prep Hoops Circuit next weekend.  Our friends from Australia will be back again as AUSA will be bringing a ton of teams to the United States to play in the PHC at Summer Challenge (Chicago), The Last Dance (Chicago), and Grind Region Finals (Dallas).  We caught up with their director Anthony Separovich to preview some of the prospects in their program college coaches should be tracking in AUSA July Prospect Preview!   AUSA Australia Team Sepo: Riley Dunn   Height: 6'11   Position: Forward   Class: 2024   Predicted Level: D1   Scouting Report: Riley Dunn is a ‘unicorn', with the combination of skill, athletic ability, and size. His ability to guard 1 through 5 makes him perfect in ball screen situations and he is an elite level rim protector. Riley stretches the floor with his ability to stroke it from downtown and has the versatility to put the ball on the floor and finish at the rim. He is a scoring machine, his ability to score at all 3 levels makes him near impossible to guard. He brings a high IQ both on and off the court boasting a 3.5 GPA. Lachlan is a proven winner and will bring tremendous value at the Division 1 level. His ability to get to the rim and finish through/over contact as well as make plays for others makes him a super valuable addition to any team. On top of all his offensive gifts Jaylen is the best on ball defender in his class, the combination of lateral quickness and length means big problems for the opposing guards. He has worked and developed his game over the last 12 months to the point where he is now a legitimate D1 prospect. He is an elite level rebounder and rim protector; he uses his athleticism and strength well in the paint. He loves to finish above and through defenders! He also can step out and hit the three which really opens the floor up for any team he is on. He brings a great work ethic and attitude to any team he is on. His 3.2 GPA shows he is also committed in the classroom! His ability to make big plays consistently both for himself and others highlights his high-level understanding of the game. Bailey is elite in ball screen situations, his ability to hit the 3 as well as finish through contact at the rim makes him a matchup nightmare. He is a nightmare for opposition defences in transition and causes problems when he attacks the rim with elite level foot work and creative finishing package. Rip is a tough defender; he uses his length and quickness to disrupt at this end of the floor and can block/change shots as well. His 6'8 wingspan allows him to play aggressively in the passing lanes, block/change shots and disrupt opposition guards. He has a great handle and IQ for a guard of his size, he makes great decisions in ball screen situations and uses his length well to finish in the paint. He also has great shot mechanics and will consistently knock them in from three. All his coaches' comment on his work ethic and coachability. Offensively he is a great decision maker, he consistently creates great opportunities for his teammates with his elite passing ability. He can score on all three levels with the ability to create his own shot off the bounce. Rory is a high IQ defender; he uses his length well and rebounds at a high level outside his area. He is also a high academic with an estimated GPA of over 3.8. He is extremely active on the glass at both ends and rebounds well out of his area, especially on the offensive glass. Xavier has a high motor, he moves well without the ball, runs his lanes hard and put heat on the defence in transition. He has great shot mechanics and his ability to hit the three ball consistently means he is able to stretch the floor for his team. Josh uses his length and quickness well on the defensive end, coming up with deflections and blocking shots above the rim. He is tough kid, loves to compete and has a high motor.
