Ryan Morgan | Prep Hoops Scout
Bhalod is off to a phenomenal start, averaging 21.3 points and 15.8 rebounds (7.3 OFFR) per game after putting up 18.3 points and 12.9 rebounds last season. His work on the offensive glass has been impressive to say the least, and it’s resulted in a lot of second-chance points in close, as well as an average of 7.5 FT/game. He’s been on a roll to start the year including two near 20-20 games (33 points 18 rebounds vs Foster, and 19 points 19 rebounds vs Lindbergh).

Bhalod put up some big numbers last season, averaging a double-double and showing some good touch and work-rate from the forward spot. He’s got the quick second jump to stay with the play, has good touch with varying releases around the paint, and can work with his back to the basket or off the dribble.

A 6-foot-5 wing who can play inside and out. Has good length and bounce that helped him average 18.3 points and 12.9 rebounds. Those numbers would suggest he already “broke out,” but watching him play it’s clear there is still another level to his game to reach. He works well out of the midrange, facing up or backing down, and clearly works the glass hard. Just to show his potential, he had a 24-point 24-rebound game last season against Sehome. I’d like to see him become a little more efficient from the field and stretch that range out to 3 more regularly. Keep an eye on him as a guy who could really elevate his game heading into next season.

Bhalod is a kid who can play the wings with his handle and ability to shoot, but it seems like he quite often finds himself working closer to the paint and sizing up defenders with his back to the hoop. I haven’t seen much from him in terms of long-rang shooting but he has a good-looking stroke and should be able to stretch the floor. He was a consistent rebounder last season and should be given a pretty big opportunity to flourish at Inglemoor this coming season.
