If there’s a player in the Senior class that I would recruit to the Juco level, it’s Mayhorn. He’s still raw on offense and figuring things out but Payton plays hard and has a very bright future.

Mayhorn could be the biggest transfer in the 11th region for the mere fact that LCA doesn’t have anyone else on the roster within 5 inches of him in height. Coming from Henry Clay, Payton figures to be the primary post player for the Eagles as a Senior and could help them matchup against the likes of Great Crossing and Frederick Douglass in the race for the region title.

Mayhorn is one of the more hidden gems in the 2024 class and could be a steal for someone at the collegiate level if he continues on the upward trajectory he’s been on for the last few months. Long term, Peyton still has a long way to go but his physical tools are undeniable and he’s started playing with a better motor over the course of the summer.
