Week after week, Lajerrion Benjamin Lajerrion Benjamin 5’10” | SG Bossier | 2027 LA has been a standout on the NEXT Circuit, but this past weekend he stepped up to the high school level and didn’t skip a beat. The 2027 floor general looked like an expert while running an efficient offense and making the players around him better. Amazing court and teammate awareness is what makes him such a pure dime dropper, not to mention his special accuracy and passing strength to make any pass on the floor. Benjamin put on a show and brought a spark to the game with his ball skills, he displayed the handles to get to any spot on the floor and the passing precision to deliver through tight or closing windows. Lajerrion Benjamin Lajerrion Benjamin 5’10” | SG Bossier | 2027 LA handled the rock with great pace often creating driving angles and open drive and kick shot opportunities. His ability to stop and start at a moments notice and deceive a defender with his his shifty shoulder movements is what made him such an ankle breaker. When Benjamin had it going there was no stopping him, he produced a performance where he went on his own 10-0 run by scoring off of 4 contact finishes inside including a thread the needle pass from the top of the key to his man in the dunkers spot, the way he took over the game was spectacular. This prospect has an very bright future as a point guard, he’s an extension of the coach on the floor, his leadership is always on full display with the way he constantly communicates, high fives teammates, and keeps everyone involved in the game.
Isaac Bernal
Isaac Bernal
Win or lose, Isaac Bernal never gave up his battle on the boards. Bernal excelled at his role of a bruiser and rebounder due his low and sturdy box out positioning. The 6-foot-2 forward didn’t allow himself to be out-muscled on the glass, he forces you to out-jump him.
Carlin Jacobs Jr.
Carlin Jacobs Jr.
2026’s Carlin Jacobs played up in the 17U division and made game changing plays with his freakish athleticism. The Georgia prospect has an insane leaping ability, he’a as bouncy as a spring off one and two feet, Jacobs Jr nearly jumped out of the gym with some of the swats he produced. He never gave up on a play, in fact, Carlin was always looking to help on defense even if it meant chasing his opponent down to get the block.
James Parker Robertson
James Parker Robertson
James Parker Robertson is a 8th-grade prospect who plays up with O.W.E.’s 9th-grade team. The 6-foot-2-inch shooting guard proved to be a true marksman from long range. James quickly caught fire and began lighting it up from all around the arc but he was most deadly out of the corner. Fluid catch and fire shooting motion, terrific mechanics, good release above his head, always on balance, finished with a strong follow through, and maintained unwavering concentration which all made him wildly effective at nailing contested jumpshots.
Nick Plummer
Nick Plummer
Nick Plummer was one of the most fearless and nastiest competitors I saw all weekend. He’s as scrappy as they come and is not afraid to get down and do the dirty work. He brought an abundance of energy with great strength and use of his physicality to match. His competitiveness when going after loose balls and rebounds was fantastic. Plummer is willing to do whatever it takes to win, he’s the type of player that you’d love to have on your team but would dread playing against.
