Columbus Parker rounds out the list of stars with SC ties from the Big Shots Rock the Rock with Paul Biancardi. Columbus was a State Champion at Lancaster High School before leaving the state for Providence Day School, but he’s been a mainstay in Jeff McGinnis’ Team Charlotte over the past several years. His ability to play on or off the ball in the backcourt is a weapon for both club and school, and it should be something college coaches are interested in. When he’s on the ball, Parker is an aggressive, downhill driver who has quickness to beat his man off the dribble and polish to play off two around the paint. When he’s off the ball, Columbus is a capable perimeter shooter and can pull up with floaters or mid-range jumpers when run off the line. His highest-scoring game of the weekend was 12 points in a tight loss to Garner Road.

Parker is one of the feature pieces on Team Charlotte as they make the move to the New Balance P32 Circuit and it makes complete sense that he’s in that position due to his two way approach and toughness. After returning from a knee injury, Parker has steadily worked himself back into the type of prospect we all saw him becoming down the line. He was a key contributor at Providence Day this past season, earning his spot on the NCISAA 4A All State team. Parker provides a guard that is willingness to do whatever is needed from him on that given night. He can help provide a scoring punch, run your offense, or really embrace a defensive role and do a high level job on a premier perimeter player on the other team. This summer with Team Charlotte , Parker should establish himself as one of the top two way guards in his class here in NC, he was instrumental in their win at The Big Shots Charlotte Showtime over Team USC Unleashed EYCL where he finished with 24 Points in the win, showing off his ability to take a game over with his scoring.

. Parker played only three games in 2023-24 after suffering a knee injury but he will be back to full health for the start of his Junior Season. He will be used at both spots in the backcourt throughout the season because of his balanced offensive skillset. Columbus is good in the pick-and-roll, beats defenders off the dribble, reads coverages well, and can knock down the outside shot. Parker holds offers from Hampton, Howard, SC State, and Johnson C. Smith.

Parker really came out of nowhere on the Grassroots Circuit with Team Charlotte UAA. After seeing the Bruins a few times during the season, I honestly couldn’t recall Parker at all. He sure did have coming out party late in the season into the Grassroots campaign. Columbus can get the ball downhill to the basket or simply pop from the perimeter with a nice jumper.
He already has picked up some offers and that’s why you see him ranked where he’s today #8 in this very talented 2026 Palmetto State Class.
