With a couple tough finishes at the rim early, Brush made his presence known. Finding his range from the outside, Bruce connected on a couple triples as the first half concluded to give his team some momentum heading into the break. In the second half Bruce was more of a distributor, looking for his teammates. Fellow guard [player_tooltip player_id='1068249' first='Dylan' last='Bartchak'] got going from the perimeter with a hot shooting display from 3-point range and this pair helped lead their team to an overtime victory in one of the most competitive games of the weekend.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["1761697"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"McNair fell to Bruce and company but got a bounce back victory over [program_tooltip program_id='2080539' first='Gem' last='City Basketball Club'] to wrap up the evening. A load to manage in the paint, McNair was using his size and physicality to overpower defenders in the paint. With soft hands and good touch around the basket, if McNair got the ball in the paint it would usually end in two points for his team. The duo of McNair and Chris Glover were crucial in their victory to end the night as Glover was using his quickness to create havoc defensively and slash to the paint. Pocket City also used an impressive 3-point shooting display to stretch the lead to 20+ and get a bounce back victory.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1955281"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"While the second game of the day didn't go Gem City's way, it wasn't without positives. Namely Weatherspoon and [player_tooltip player_id='1285281' first='Josiah' last='Marshall'] as the Dayton area duo found success from the guard position in Gem City's final game of the night. Weatherspoon is an undersized point guard who plays with good pace and found success hitting floaters in traffic and knocking down open perimeter shots when they came to him. A tough point guard, Weatherspoon had an offensive rebound and-1 putback layup that showed despite his size, he's able to mix it up in the paint. Marshall on the other hand was knocking down shots from the perimeter and when he got going scoring, he started making a defensive impact as well.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["1849672"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Probably the most impressive player I watched during the nighttime Saturday games, Godby was terrific in a tight victory over Great Lakes Warriorz. A unique guard, Godby was leading the trapping pressure that his team ran with his wingspan but also directed the offense. Godby made some really impressive passes in both half-court and transition, showing his floor vision. Able to score from a variety of spots on the court, Godby could make an open shot when the defense left him alone but wanted to attack the rim. Scoring off two feet and through contact, his most impressive finish was when he extended his right arm around a shot blocker for a kiss off the glass for two. His whole team was skilled and had solid size, one of the more talented teams playing this weekend in the Havoc in the Heartland.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["1297123"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"I only caught one 16 U game in this time frame, but Summitt was a standout in an impressive victory for Indiana Ambition. A big-time shooter, Summitt hit a couple 3-pointers but did a ton of damage from the mid-range area. An athletic wing, Summitt also looked to attack the rim whenever his team got an opportunity to run on the fast break. Summitt was one of a handful of impressive players on his team, you'll be seeing tweets and articles about a few of his teammates before our content from this event wraps up.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6460dc487e7a2"} /-->
