In a big rivalry win, Pastor was productive as a high energy wing forward who crashed the glass hard and showed off his athleticism with some above the rim plays including multiple slam dunks. Pastor knocked down a couple of 3-pointers as well including one at the halftime horn that gave the Red Devils some momentum heading into the locker room. Pastor is tough to stop for other east district teams because not many schools have a player as athletic as he is who can also play on the perimeter and crash the glass. With the new seven Division playoff format, Saint Clairsville has a path to win a regional title this season.

Another team playing tonight, St Clairsville has had a strong season behind a pair of 1,000-point scorers. The Red Devils take on Indian Valley with a spot in the east district championship on the line. Pastor has another season left to play as he should go down as one of the top scorers in school history if he stays healthy next season. A strong wing who is a standout on the gridiron as well, Pastor is a high academic student who should get a bunch of small college interest this summer with Nova Village on the UAA circuit. I like his first step, perimeter defense and ability to knock down open shots. While he’s a top scorer at the small-town high school level, I’m even more interested in his ability to impact the game in a variety of ways on the grassroots circuit.

Another multi-sport athlete, Pastor is a small-town sleeper from Saint Clairsville who got onto the statewide radar playing with Nova’s 16 U UA-Rise group. Able to knock down shots from the perimeter and compete athletically on a shoe circuit squad, Pastor checks a lot of boxes off the eye test. Most comfortable finishing off two feet in transition, Pastor uses his explosiveness to finish at the rim. Expect small college programs to really take notice of Pastor this upcoming spring as he can bring a variety of skills to the small college level.
