Highlights
Nate Thompson Nate Thompson 6'3" | SG South-Doyle | 2025 State TN is due a breakout summer. He is certainly an atypical high school guard, because he is jacked and muscular. His offensive awareness is high. Running with Pro One TN for his AAU venture.
Highlights
Clinton High forward Chandler Gamble Chandler Gamble 6'6" | PF South Greene | 2025 State TN began taking basketball seriously around 10 years of age. He credits his family’s basketball history as inspiring him. Gamble’s grandfather was a star hooper for Tennessee Wesleyan University back in the day. Stands 6-foot-7. Frankly, Clinton’s district does not often include college-bound forwards, so his in-season competition is a little light. This year Clinton will begin a newly formed district after the classification update. They will see Anderson County, Knoxville Halls, and Scott High. Clinton finished 10-22 in 2022-2023.
Ben Brophy Ben Brophy 6'3" | PG Hardin Valley | 2025 State TN (Hardin Valley Academy)
Highlights
Knoxville Christian is typically a program that gets overlooked during the high school basketball season by @PrepHoopsTN because of their district affiliation. Ailey thrived at the Jv Camp in February.
PrepHoopsTN Eval (Feb 2023)Touch is great when catching. Percentage drops fast when he dribbles into it. Tough around the rim, but not efficient there just yet. Long strides. Spotty finishing around the rim. His best skill is hitting the corner three-pointer. Repeatable form. Very, high release. Great catch-and-shoot threat. Needs to develop his slashing game a lot.
Brandon Winton Brandon Winton 6'2" | PG Alcoa (football) | 2025 TN is a State Champion, and likely a future college football player. Great upper-body strength for a high school guard. Lacks the shooting touch of the elite guards in Tennessee ( Tyler Tanner Tyler Tanner 6'1" | PG Brentwood Academy | 2024 State #133 Nation TN , Jahvin Carter Jahvin Carter 6'2" | PG Alcoa | 2024 State #214 Nation TN , etc.).
Powell’s Nathan Russell Nathan Russell 6'4" | SG Powell | 2025 State TN made his first impression in February at the PrepHoopsTN Jv Camp. Some of the results of that day are following.
How did he measure against the competition?
- Class of 2025
- 3/4 Court Sprint — 3.5, 3.4
- Lane Agility — 12.30, 11.80
- PrepHoopsTN Jv Camp All-Star
- Camp Ranking — #7
- State Ranking — Top 110
Jeremiah Lee Jeremiah Lee 5'9" | PG Clinton | 2025 State TN and his Clinton Dragons finished 10-22 in 2022-2023. They advanced to the Regional Semifinal, which was a decent end to their underwhelming season. A shorter guard, Jeremiah is ranked #54 among the point guards. Lee needs to play as a faster tempo.

Like Jeremiah Lee Jeremiah Lee 5'9" | PG Clinton | 2025 State TN , Barron needs to play faster, at times. His skill and height are the two most encouraging qualities. Soft touch. Defensively, the more players he can defend, the better. In high school he will probably find himself guarding bigs. Long-term Barron might be a small college wing. It remains to be seen.
