During the weekend of April 21-23 I was able to watch some of the 15U teams at the Stage Act 1. There were quite a few teams representing Arizona including the AZ Storm Grind team that went 4-0.

Here are some of the standout players that I was able to watch during the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='1776604' first='Tristen' last='Rhodes'] Millennium (AZ Storm Grind)

One of the top performers over the weekend in the 15U division. His performance included a 43 point barrage of 3 pointers in his last game. He shot it with confidence and range. He's more than a shooter as he is also a sneaky good passer and has the ability to put it on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1574517' first='Jaylin' last='Ideran'] Camelback (PHX Runnin Rebels)

A traditional floor general, Ideran played with composure and confidence. He displayed a versatile offensive game including a nice floater. On defense he showed quick hands and feet that bothered the opposing guards.

[player_tooltip player_id='1490240' first='Colton' last='Watson'] Sandra Day O'Connor (Zona Nation)

The long wing is as versatile as they comes. He played multiple positions for his team due to injuries. He initiated the offense at times, scored from all three levels, as well led his team in rebounding. Most impressive was his shot blocking ability. His length and timing on defense was outstanding.

[player_tooltip player_id='1875720' first='Sergio' last='Gonzales'] Deer Valley (AZ Storm Grind)

The lefty plays with a lot of confidence and rightfully so. Sergio is a knockdown shooter with a beautiful looking shot. He can create separation in order to get his shot off. He likes to attack into the teeth of the defense and either finish or drop off assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='1482166' first='John' last='Fahrendorf'] St. Mary's (Zona Nation)

A good sized shooting guard Fahrendorf had defenses scrambling to find him because he shot it at a high clip. He never seemed fazed by the extra attention and was patient with his shot selection. John is a good rebounder and is a very solid defender for his position.

[player_tooltip player_id='1935710' first='DeShaun' last='Hendrix'] Hamilton (Arizona Grassroots)

Hendrix ran the offense for his team and did a very good job. He has a very good feel for the game and handles the ball well. He knows how to use his body to keep smaller defenders away.

[player_tooltip player_id='1875719' first='Simon' last='Gonzales'] Deer Valley (AZ Storm Grind)

Simon is a good ball handler who has excellent court vision. He is a terror in the open court by using his speed to back the defense up. He is also very good at drawing contact and draw fouls.

[player_tooltip player_id='1555149' first='Bryson' last='Krueger II'] Basha (Arizona Grassroots)

Krueger is developing prospect who's best basketball is ahead of him. He is like having another coach on the floor. He understands and thinks the game. He has a nice looking shot and has solid ball handling skills.

Nash Hadnut SF 6'5 2026 Sunnyslope (PHX Runnin Rebels)

Hadnut on offense does his most damage in the painted area. He has a nose for the ball and finishes very well around the rim. On defense he has a major impact that he has the ability to guard multiple positions. He was even at the top of his teams press defense creating havoc for smaller guards.

[player_tooltip player_id='1680907' first='Josh' last='Dillard'] Ironwood (Zona Nation)

A versatile forward who can put it on the floor as well as post up in the paint. Dillard also showed the ability to hit the open 3 pointer. He was too big for smaller guards and too agile for bigger forwards.

[player_tooltip player_id='1591737' first='Daniel' last='Garza'] Willow Canyon (AZ Storm Grind)

Garza is a long guard who excels in the open court as well as in the half court. He's also a very good passer who is always looking to advance the ball. His passing ability is what sets him apart from others.

During the weekend of April 21-23 I was able to watch some of the 15U teams at the Stage Act 1. There were quite a few teams representing Arizona including the AZ Storm Grind team that went 4-0.
