Expert Analysis
Jack Pfeiffer | Prep Hoops Scout
Diggy, a senior wing prospect committed to Air Force, was putting on a show this weekend with Team TruHeight. He has a strong 6’5” frame and is impressed with his explosiveness. He was throwing down thunderous dunks every time he got the chance, showing off his athleticism. Griffin is also a very versatile defender with his size, length, strength, and athleticism that will transfer to the next level.

Griffin might have been the top offensive player at the entire event, especially after notching close to 40 points in the first game played. The 6-foot-6 guard did it all from hitting long range shots to creating off the dribble and finishing above the rim in transition. He honestly made things look super easy at times and was ready to D-up against anyone he was matched up with. Griffin was an All-Event selection from everyone we polled at the event.

Griffin may have been the top scorer at the event. In his team’s very first game, the 6-foot-5 wing pretty much did whatever he wanted to do offensively, whether it was drain threes, take his man off the dribble, or fly in to throw down dunks in transition – easily finishing with over 30 points. The Rosemary Anderson prep senior wing was very creative with the basketball creating his own shot, was capable of scoring through contact, and made plays at the rim on both ends of the floor.

Griffin was one of the most productive offensive players at camp. The rising senior was near impossible to contain off the dribble and he used his athleticism to finish around and at the rim in various ways. His outside shot was clicking which made him even more difficult to defend. He was solid on the boards and on defense too.

One of two players from Rosemary Anderson Prep in the rankings, Griffin comes in at #4. While we didn’t get a chance to see him directly in action with the Prospects, we did hear from those that saw the athletic 6-foot-5 wing play and they were impressed with how he was able to create off the dribble and score. Griffin has been catching eyes playing on the Nike EYCL with Friends of Hoop and it wouldn’t be surprising if he earned his first offer soon.

Griffin is one of the top stock risers in this update of the rankings, and it’s not just because he made the decision to transfer to the new prep school in town. The 6-foot-5 wing became a force to be reckoned with the latter part of sophomore year at Wells and this summer, he was able to showcase not only his athleticism but ability to create and make shots. He’s off to a solid start so far with the RA Prep Prospects.
