Jahcobie was fun to watch go to work on Sunday, constantly showing off his tight handle and quickness. He was thriving in one-on-one situations, where most defenders could not keep up with his shiftiness and speed. He was knocking down some really tough looks off the dribble, being able to pull up in a flash. Despite being one of the smaller players on the floor, he can attack the basket strong and convert on acrobatic finishes at the rim.

Cobie is a lightning quick guard, and was making plays on both ends to lead his Minneapolis Reapers team past Next Level Basketball Academy. He was an absolute pest on the ball, picking up full-court and forcing mistakes with his ball pressure. He was able to pick up a few steals which led to easy buckets for both himself and his teammates. In the half-court he’s able to utilize his quickness to get downhill and attack the basket. Fearless getting to the rim and finishing against taller players.

Cobie might have been the top on-ball defender I saw all day. He jumped into 5v5’s and immediately changed the game with his ball pressure. Dean was speeding up opposing ball handlers and making them uncomfortable, often leading to mistakes and turnovers. Able to sit deep in in a stance and get up under guys before using his quick hands to poke the ball free. Really aggressive attacking the basket on offense, as he was able to get into the lane, force the defense to collapse, and locate his open shooters with kickout passes. Still scored a few buckets on his own, but made a huge impact outside of scoring.

Cobie was the main ball handler for his team and stood out to me the most when pressured. He has a super tight handle and uses that to slice his way through the full court traps and presses thrown at him. He is one of the quickest players I have seen all weekend and was blowing by defenders nearly every time he touched the ball. When he gets inside, he has the ability to hang in the air and either convert an acrobatic finish or kick the ball out to an open teammate for a better look. Dean was electric with the ball in his hands on Saturday.
