Lancaster Mennonite outlasted Aliquippa to win the first state championship in school history, scoring a dominant 60-44 victory over the Quips, who lost in the final for the second season in a row. The Blazers were led by their senior stars, [player_tooltip player_id='1185903' first='Camden' last='Hurst'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1185999' first='David' last='Weaver'], who combined to power LM at both ends of the floor. Weaver had a double-double and Hurst blew past 20 points on the day to power the win.

The Blazers all time leading scorer displayed an all around game. Pull up jumpers, shots from deep, finishing with both hands around the rim, a nifty Eurostep...A pure shooter, he is part of a long line of Hurst boys to play for Lancaster Mennonite. He returned from a broken hand and had a great run in the playoffs.

While Hurst missed nearly 20 games with that hand injury, Weaver and his teammates had to step up throughout the season but Weaver displayed good passing skills out of the post and some nice footwork around the rim. He used his frame to battle on the glass and give Mennonite a legitimate post scoring option. Weaver also had a few nice blocks on the day.

The youngest of 5 Hurst boys, the freshman was a tough as nails guard on the day. He was able to get to the rim and draw contact. He didn't have a huge scoring game, given the talent around him, but he grabbed a handful of rebounds and given the family lineage, he'll be a player worth watching the next few years.

The 6'3" athlete had a great run through the playoffs and contributed when called upon at both ends of the floor. He was able to finish through traffic on offense and battled on defense. He'll be a key piece of the puzzle as a major contributor next year. He had a double double for the Quips. He fouled out with 3 seconds left.

The football star used his quickness off the bounce to get to the rim and outmaneuver Weaver on his way to the bucket. His play on defense allowed Aliquippa to get out in transition and get fast break points and draw fouls of their own. As Aliquippa tried to claw its way back into the game, it was Walker leading the charge. He fouled out late in the game.
