Mehki Hubbard - Mesa Ridge

Mehki Hubbard plays with great energy on the floor setting the tone on the defensive end. Mehki plays in-your-face defense with an ear-to-ear smile. He had some great defensive plays and the game-sealing contested layup. Mehki is a dawg on both ends who was a huge part of Mesa Ridge's undefeated season.

Jack Greenwood - Denver East

Jack Greenwood lit up the scoreboard attacking inside and out. Jack showed off his quick trigger on his knockdown jump shot making 5-7 his three-point shots. He also had some tough layups at the rim using his athleticism to finish a tough and-one layup. Jack help set the tone on the offensive end as he celebrated his teammates and kept great energy on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='972417' first='Grant' last='Featherston'] - Air Academy

[player_tooltip player_id='972417' first='Grant' last='Featherston'] had a very good game but came up just one point short. Grant showed off his impressive jumper for his size making 4-5 of his three-point shots. He also made tough shots in the paint using his big frame and size to his advantage. Grant played solid defense using his length to contest shots and jumping a few passing lanes for steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='1420173' first='Daundre' last='Samuels'] - Denver East

[player_tooltip player_id='1420173' first='Daundre' last='Samuels'] proved he was the best guard in the state leading Denver East to the 6A championship. Daundre took over the game in all facets. He scored from all three levels, making electric plays to keep the momentum on East's side. Daundre made great passing including a lob to [player_tooltip player_id='1835773' first='Gil' last='Gonzales'] for the poster dunk!

[player_tooltip player_id='1369853' first='Bryce' last='Riehl'] - Mesa Ridge

[player_tooltip player_id='1369853' first='Bryce' last='Riehl'] while only having nine points still had a profound impact on the game. Bryce made 3-4 of his three-pointer attempts shooting very efficiently and only taking good shots. He also did a good job rebounding the ball, doing a good job boxing out against a bigger team. Bryce also used his scoring gravity to draw the defense in for assists and good hockey assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='1167509' first='Nick' last='Randall'] - Fossil Ridge

[player_tooltip player_id='1167509' first='Nick' last='Randall'] took over down low for Fossil Ridge and had a great performance to cap off his senior season. Nick whenever he was able to get good post position almost always scored. He had some good offensive rebounds leading to second-chance opportunities.

[player_tooltip player_id='1318379' first='Tevin' last='Riehl'] - Mesa Ridge

[player_tooltip player_id='1318379' first='Tevin' last='Riehl'] made almost every open look he got and led the Grizzlies in scoring to help them remain undefeated. Tevin showed his knockdown shooting ability, hitting catch-and-shoot shots from the mid-range and three-point land and he created mid-range pull-ups off of the dribble. Like every player on this team, Tevin played good on-ball defense! Do not be surprised if Tevin and the returning players at Mesa Ridge make a run again next year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1835773' first='Gil' last='Gonzales'] - Denver East

[player_tooltip player_id='1835773' first='Gil' last='Gonzales'] may not fill up the score column every game but you can guarantee he'll make his presence known. Gil makes energy plays for East using his elite athleticism to throw down energetic dunks. He had one dunk in the first half trailing Daundre on the fast break for a quick pass back for the two-hand slam. The second dunk he had was another great pass from Daundre, a lob that Gil finished over a defender; both of these dunks had the East fans out of their seats! Gil also controlled the boards for East, almost playing a small ball big for them.

[player_tooltip player_id='1137808' first='Noah' last='Hellem'] - Air Academy

[player_tooltip player_id='1137808' first='Noah' last='Hellem'] had a good night shooting the ball, and making key buckets to keep the Kadets in the game. Noah shot another efficient night from three-point land making 4-7 of his three-point attempts. He showed his great poise and composure for his age hitting tough shots. Noah also had a good night on the defensive end showing off his quick reflexes.
