Continue ReadingA highlight waiting to happen, Anderson is a long-armed guard that plays above the rim. He’s made up for lost time after missing the end of last season, regaining his health. After netting 9.3 points per game as a junior, Anderson is up to 18.8 as the featured go-to guy. Qurahn thrives in the open court and excels at getting to the rim, but can keep defenses honest with his jumper. Penn State Fayette is his lone offer. He’s a serious sleeper that should draw more looks.
Redmond is rock-solid in the backcourt. He doesn’t have an overly flashy game but is consistent and steady across the board. He’s a well-rounded scorer that can get to his spots. Redmond sees the floor well and rebounds from his guard position. Coming from South Gwinnett, playing tough on-ball defense is a prerequisite. Redmond earned First Team All-Region out of Region 4-7A, the strongest grouping in the state of Georgia.
The electrifying athlete has stepped into the forefront alongside David Thomas David Thomas 6’2″ | PG Eagle’s Landing | 2023 State #197 Nation GA . McKennie is a dog on defense, willing to pick up 94-feet. His activity and fast-twitch athleticism are a nightmare to go against. The Energizer Bunny is a difference maker on both ends. Offensively, getting to the rack is his main goal. If Khylan mixes in a consistent outside shot, he could skyrocket up boards. Schools looking for a relentless competitor need McKennie.
Dunston is a smooth shooting off-guard. Evan has an effortless stroke with deep range. He can fill it up off the catch, but also has a knack for creating just enough separation to free himself for clean looks. Dunston can go on scoring binges with his jumper. He set the Brookwood school-record with 10 threes in a game earlier this year.
The Illinois import is a long rangy guard. He’s a bouncy athlete that can finish with a bang. Rush is a dangerous jump shooter that can make plays off the dribble. Devan will need to add a little more muscle to his frame, but his offensive game is well-rounded and he has some upside defensively.
I liked Will when I first saw him over the Summer at Georgia College Team Camp and he continued his strong play his senior season, a breakout year. Burroughs plays with confidence. He has a nice quickness with the ball and is a good outside shooter that connects on 35% of his threes. He’s a sneaky playmaker that can squirt past the first line of defense before picking them apart with his passing. He’s averaging 13 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.5 steals. Pfeiffer and Webster have offered.
There are bigger name players that get a lot of publicity as being the best shooter in the state but in all reality, it is tough to say anyone shoots the three-ball better than Christian Hernandez Christian Hernandez 6’0″ | SG North Cobb Christian | 2023 State GA . The senior has emerged as a lethal weapon from beyond the arc, the specialist averaging 10.9 points per game while drilling an incredible 70-144 (49%) of his three-point attempts. Al Horford’s little brother should be on small school radars who need an elite floor spacer.
