Round 1&2 in Columbus – Top Upperclassmen

This article will cover the top upperclassmen I saw that were trying their all to survive to the next round. On Tuesday night I was at #19 Northland as they hosted and lost to #20 Reynoldsburg 59-58. Super coordinated. Gilbert showed on Friday night that he can be a remarkable rim protector. He was blocking a ton of shots and altered many by just jumping with his hands straight up. He absorbed contact very well. Also did a great on his second jump to get the rebound after making the offensive player miss. This kid could not have played any harder. He was flying around on defense and making hustle plays. He was great at communicating and showed great leadership qualities. He also made a huge difference for Northland on the offensive end with his shooting. He showed unlimited range and great confidence in his shot. He knocked down 7 threes and was crucial for being able to make the defense spread out to guard him. He is only listed at 6'4, which he seems to be taller but is a big and strong guy that moves opponents out of the way. He was great at putting the people under the basket and finishing. He was absorbing contact very well. He lead their game in scoring and didn't even shoot a jumper all game. He was getting offensive boards and was super efficient around the rim.
