With some sneaky bounce and a microwave like scoring ability to catch fire off the dribble, Rose has the upside to be a prospect who could really flourish at the JuCo level.  He had a huge first half  as scorer, including a pair of threes that closed out the first half.  When he’s in attack mode, there’s some real game changing ability as a scorer.  Especially as he gets good elevation on his mid-range, making him a very tough cover off the bounce.  There’s been an archetype of recent OKC guards that found an extra gear in the JuCo and went on to have strong careers at four year scorers, even at the D1 level. If Rose wants it, he could follow that path.

Rose was a perimeter threat throughout the game and consistently made the Millers play from beyond the arc. In the final frame, he got on the ball more and made productive, aggressive plays for himself and his teammates. At one point he “dropped” a defender with a dribble move, then with the disruption that caused set up a teammate for an open three.

Along with his scoring heroics, the athletic scoring guard often popped up with big plays on the defensive end in the form of blocked shots. From making defensive plays in transition, good defensive rotations, to contesting shots on the perimeter, Rose left his mark all over the game on both ends of the court.

Solid height, a good frame and quality athleticism are what first standout about Rose’s game. He uses those good physical traits to be a quick and decisive scorer, especially in the mid-range. The Northwest Classen guard didn’t over dribble today, understanding that only one or two dribbles would be needed to navigate to the mid-range or find better spots to score around the rim. The lack of wasted motion with quick decisive movements and efficient shooting made him a lethal scorer from 18 feet and in.
