There’s a lot of shots and ball in hand time available at Flat Rock and Gillum is a prime candidate to inherit a lot of that. He’s a very high IQ player that understands the game and has a natural feel. Gillum has a solid jumper and can score from multiple spots on the floor.

Gillum was the focus of the defense, but was still able to get some looks at the rim. He showed the ability to shoot from behind the arc and be a threat from all 3 levels. Gillum is long and athletic, and is beginning to use that to his advantage on the defensive end of the floor. I was very impressed with his passing in this game. Gillum hit teammates in stride with a bounce pass on multiple occasions.

Gillum has a lot to like about his game. First of all, he’s a great presence on the team with upbeat character and coachability. Gillum has length to use on D and on the boards and a very good jumper. There’s tons of upside.

Gillum will be running with the Midwest Stampede 2026 squad for the first time this spring and that could be a very exciting mix. Gillum is long and versatile as far as who he defends and what part of the floor he works off of. He’s a multi level scoring threat that can use his length inside but has 3 point range on his jumper as well.
