Devan was one of the main scorers for Pearland with his ability to create his own looks off the dribble and he scored in multiple ways on the perimeter and inside the arc. Brown is an unsigned 2026 senior who plays the game the right way and is willing to put his body on the line for loose balls and second chance opportunities on offense. Devan struggled a bit at the free throw line over the past few weeks, but he has found other ways to impact the flow of the game when on the court and he poises a matchup problem for anyone trying to guard him with his height and frame, especially on the perimeter. Devan had 15 points in this game and had a great finish to his senior season! Hopefully, this performance helps him see a couple more collegiate offers come his way.

Currently as a senior, he just surpassed the 1,000 career point mark and has contributed to the excellent Pearland High School start in the district this season. I was able to see Pearland High School against Shadow Creek High School, where Devan scored 23 points, displaying different ways of making an impact in a big way with and without the ball continuously getting downhill. I was able to see him and Pearland High School be victorious over Shadow Creek High School, where Devan was a big contributor.

Offensively Devan is very capable of being a threat shooting from range, slashing to the basket with and without the ball in his hands while also making good reads on that end of the floor. From range he has consistently shown he can punish defenses with his ability to spot up and create shots from that area. When slashing to the basket he does a great job of creating driving lanes with the ball in hands making some difficult situations look easy with impressive footwork. With him off the ball you can rely on Devan to use his athleticism to cut into open lanes, making himself a target for easy baskets. Defensively he has shown he can guard opponents bigger than him at times possessing a strong frame. The athleticism he uses creates steals in passing lanes and quick takeaways from the opposition. I wouldn’t be surprised if a school offers him soon!
