After debuting the Class of 2026 rankings and updating our Class of 2025 rankings, this week we have turned our attention to the Class of 2024. If you haven’t already, make sure you take a look at the revamped rankings that feature a Top 150 plus over 100 additional names on our Watch List. In this article we will be highlighting six prospects who made their debuts in our updated rankings. These “new names” have continued working hard at their games and made the necessary improvements to catch our eye and shoot up into the Class of 2024 Top 150. This will be Part One of a two part series highlighting our new names.
Noah Lovan Noah Lovan 6'3" | PG Providence | 2024 State IN (Providence H.S.): Lovan is a bigger guard with great physical tools and strength. He has immediately stepped into a major scoring role for the defending Class 2A state champions after transferring in from across the river. The 6’3″ guard makes his debut in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2024 rankings at #45 overall. Lovan is one of the better players down in southern Indiana and definitely will be a candidate to continue rising up our rankings.
Sam Mlagan Sam Mlagan 6'2" | PG Bethesda Christian | 2024 State IN (Bethesda Christian H.S.): Mlagan is one of the best guards in the greater Indianapolis area that you may not have heard of yet. The shifty, athletic guard is averaging 16.6 points per game to lead Bethesda Christian to a 12-2 record and a Top 5 ranking in Class 1A. He is excellent off of the dribble and creates his own shot consistently with a smooth mid-range jumper. In this rankings update, Mlagan made his debut at #101 in the Class of 2024.
Malachi McNair Malachi McNair 6'6" | C Evansville Harrison | 2024 State IN (Evansville Harrison H.S.): This 6’5″ post player has emerged as a go-to threat for Evansville Harrison this season. McNair is flirting with a double-double every time out with averages of 14.4 points and 9.4 rebounds per game. He has excellent strength around the basket, good footwork, and the skill level to finish consistently. He broke into our Class of 2024 Prospect Rankings at #82 overall in this most recent update.
Zach Meeks Zach Meeks 6'7" | C Cathedral | 2024 IN (Cathedral H.S.): While he will likely end up playing Division I football at the next level, this move-in to Cathedral is pretty solid on the basketball court as well. At 6’7″ with all of the physical tools you could want, Meeks has played a valuable back-up role for the defending Class 4A state Championship. Meeks is an excellent defender and rebounder who will not get pushed around by anyone on the floor. Ranked #91 overall in the Class of 2024 Prospect Rankings.
Coryell Spates Coryell Spates 6'1" | SG Pike | 2024 State IN (Pike H.S.): If you are looking for an elite catch-and-shoot threat, look no further than this junior guard at Pike High School. Spates is shooting over 50% from three-point range this season on nearly four attempts per game. He has broken out this season as the fourth leading scorer on a very talented Red Devils squad that is having a lot of success. His debut in the Class of 2024 Prospect Rankings comes at #88 overall.
Izaak Wright (Wabash H.S.): This 6’2″ left-handed guard is having an a breakout junior season for 12-4 Wabash. Wright is averaging 18.4 points and 7.3 rebounds per game while shooting 44-97 from beyond the arc. He has a sweet left-handed stroke with a quick release and the ability to attack closeouts in a straight line. In this recent Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2024 Prospect Rankings update Wright made his debut at #80 overall.
