Continue ReadingWelcome to another Prep Hoops Indiana Prospect Rankings update! Today we dive into the Class of 2024 with a revamped look at the Top 150 prospects in the class along with over 100 additional names on our Watch List. At the top you will find a consensus 5-star national prospect who is as special as any in-state player we’ve had in over a decade. Then, a pair of early Purdue commitments hold down the next few spots. This class has solid depth, especially for small college talent, and will likely see several prospects start to blow up over the summer months.
As with all of our rankings, this is absolutely still a work in progress. We will continue to add new names, expand the rankings, and fine tune evaluations as these prospects develop over the rest of their high school careers. Rankings are ALWAYS an inexact science and that is even still true with the current junior class that we have gotten to see grow over the last couple of years. Our staff at Prep Hoops Indiana never stops following the individual journeys of every player and that is why we look to update our prospect rankings several times per year.
Also, again, it is important to remember these are PROSPECT rankings. There are players in the Top 10-20 who don’t have the numbers of maybe even some players on the Watch List. Similarly, there are players on the Watch List who might average 15 points per game. Rankings are about PROJECTION and not so much PRODUCTION and that is still true even as these prospects near the final chapter of their junior seasons.
As always, if you have any questions or comments you can reach me via DM (always open) on Twitter @BRamseyKSR or email coachbrandonramsey@gmail.com. I hope you enjoy the rankings and take them for what they are. Our staff will continue to work tirelessly to cover every corner of Indiana and continue to build evaluations for all prospects in the Class of 2024 as we do with every class.
