Expert Analysis
Tony Roe | Prep Hoops Scout
I’m not sure whether or not Frazell is wanting to pursue basketball at the next level because he’s also a really good golfer. But if he wants to play basketball, he’s an elite shooter who could become a big-time scorer at a Division III (Wartburg) if he wanted to stay close to home, or become a really nice role player at a Division II program. He’s one of the best pure shooters I’ve seen in my time at PHIA, going 124-246 (50.4%) from the arc over the last two years.

With his combination of talent and the overwhelming amount of loss of production to graduation from last year’s team, Frazell has a legitimate shot to lead the state in scoring this season. He has great size at 6-6, one of the purest strokes from 3-point range that you’ll find at this level, and the ability to create quality looks off the dribble. He was fantastic as a junior, helping lead the Go-Hawks to a runner-up finish in 3A while averaging 18.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.6 steals per game on 57-55-86 shooting splits.

Frazell is one of the state’s elite shooters, and one of the best shooters I’ve seen during my 10+ years at PHIA. Blessed with great size at 6-6, he’s nearly automatic when he has his feet set on the catch, and he has really improved as a shooter off the dribble as well. He led the Go-Hawks to a runner-up finish in 3A last season, averaging 18.7 points and 7.2 rebounds a game while shooting a ridiculous 54.9% from 3-point range, and not on limited attempts.
