Last night LaSalle College HS traveled to Delaware County to take on Bonner-Prendergast in highly anticipated Philadelphia Catholic League contest.

This was an intense defensive game which at times produced some ugly basketball. Thus, this was an unusually low scoring affair for a PCL contest. For instance, BP led at halftime 26-11. The Friars hung on to win 39-34.

Below is a look at a few of the college prospects who took the court during the LaSalle CHS at Bonner-Prendergast game.

LaSalle College HS

James Bartchak – 6'2” / Senior/ [program_tooltip program_id='2078692' first='Philly' last='Ballhawks'] / Shooting Guard: Bartchak is coming off a blazing hot December where he posted numerous double-digit scoring games. So, the fact that he was held to just 7 points on Friday evening, tells you about the defensive nature of this game. He is a knock down shooter and does a respectable job as a secondary ball handler.

Liam Hawley – 5'10” / Junior / Philly Revolution / Combo Guard: This lefty spot-up shooter has the instincts to find the open spaces on the floor and the quick release to fire off a shot before the defense can recover. Last night Hawley (7 points) hit a couple big shots during LaSalle's 2nd half comeback effort. Additionally, he owns enough handles to run as a lead guard if needed.

[player_tooltip player_id='991395' first='Horace' last='Simmons Jr']. – 6'6” / Senior / [program_tooltip program_id='2078697' first='Philly' last='Pride'] National / Wing: Simmons (10 points) has ascended to LaSalle's No. 1 scoring option and thanks to a significantly more advanced offensive skill set, he is handling that role well. His 3-point shooting is now a legit weapon. His ability to finish drives in traffic is much improved as well. What also grabbed our eye last night, was Simmons ability to pass out of double teams.

[player_tooltip player_id='2056714' first='Ryan' last='Warren'] – 6'5” / Sophomore / [program_tooltip program_id='2078682' first='K-Low' last='Elite'] / Small Forward: This athlete owns a long wingspan and a tremendous feel for the game. That combination makes Warren (7 points) a force on the glass at both ends. His ability to play through contact and finish second chance opportunities was impressive. Warren is a 2025 prospect to keep an eye on.

Bonner-Prendergast

Brady Eagan – 6'4” / Senior / [program_tooltip program_id='2078697' first='Philly' last='Pride'] Delco / Wing: Eagan (5 points) is a slasher style wing who provides a solid 4th scoring option for Bonner. He also will not hesitate play with physicality in the lane. Last night his poise and composure were extremely noteworthy. Eagan is the “glue guy” every PCL squad needs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1116025' first='Touari' last='“Deuce” Ketner'] – 6'7” / Junior / [program_tooltip program_id='2078682' first='K-Low' last='Elite'] / Power Forward: Ketner is a smooth and athletic big who this past off season added muscle to his frame. He can score with his back to the basket or via his smooth face up game. Unfortunately, last night Ketner was saddled with foul problems that limited his minutes and production (10 points). Ketner did flash the court vision and unselfish nature that make him one of the best passing bigs in the area. Ketner holds offers from Drexel, Albany, and Robert Morris.

[player_tooltip player_id='1118630' first='Nelson' last='Lamizana'] – 6'9″ / Junior / [program_tooltip program_id='2078697' first='Philly' last='Pride'] National / Power Forward: This long and athletic prospect runs the floor well and can finish with authority. Lamizana (4 points) is a workhorse on the glass at both ends. Last night's slow tempo did not allow Lamizana much of a chance to show off his mid-range jumper or ability to attack the rim off the bounce. At the other end Lamizana provided intimidating shot blocker. He holds an offer from Fairfield.

[player_tooltip player_id='1477716' first='Kevin' last='Rucker'], Jr. – 6'6” / We R1 UAA / Wing: Rucker's versatility really grabbed our attention. He is a long, quick athlete with significant hops. Rucker (11 points last night) can score off the dribble drive and hit jumpers from all over the court. He can also mix it up on the interior. In this grind-it-out contest he did not have much of a chance to display his transition skills. But based on what we saw this past summer, Rucker thrives on the fast break. Rucker holds offers from Drexel and Rider.

[player_tooltip player_id='1589139' first='Reggie' last='Selden, Jr.'] – 6'2” / Junior / NJ Hilltoppers / Point Guard: Selden is one of the elite primary ball handlers in the region. His ability to get downhill and attack opposing defenses is a game changer Plus he can shoot 3's. Last night he did a fantastic job of dealing with LaSalle's tenacious on-ball pressure and getting Bonner into their half-court offense. He is averaging 14 ppg., but in this slugfest vs. LaSalle he scored 7 points.
