The fifth day of the 26th annual Les Schwab Invitational (LSI) was non-stop excitement, as eight Oregonian teams continued to battle their way through one of the nation's top holiday basketball tournaments.

There were some enticing performances on both sides of every contest, so let's take a look at who impressed the most on the state's biggest high school stage:

[player_tooltip player_id='1382413' first='Cade' last='Collins'] (2023 Jesuit)

In the Crusaders' impressive comeback win, Collins was key, scoring a team-high 23 points while making a particular difference in the second half. At 6-foot-4, the senior guard was assertive and efficient offensively, converting on nine of his 15 field goal attempts as the Crusaders won in somewhat miraculous fashion to claim the Consolation title. A solid athlete, Collins also grabbed seven boards and dished two assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='1256714' first='Isaiah' last='Crane'] (2023 Jesuit)

Also effective down the stretch was Crane, who did a little bit of everything for the Crusaders on Friday. The 6-foot-1 point guard used his explosiveness off the dribble to post an impressive stat line of 18 points, nine rebounds, and five assists while playing all but one minute of the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1256638' first='Douglas' last='Bailey'] (2023 Tigard)

As always, Bailey was a sharpshooter on Friday, torching the nets in the first half on his way to a team-high 23 points. The 6-foot-4 senior finished 5-of-7 from three-point range, helping the Tigers build their first half lead while continuing to impress as a deadeye shooter with good size.

[player_tooltip player_id='861097' first='Malik' last='Brown'] (2023 Tigard)

It was another all-around performance from [player_tooltip player_id='861097' first='Malik' last='Brown'] on Friday afternoon, as the senior point guard recorded 19 points, seven rebounds, and four assists as the Tigers dropped a close one. Brown was consistently a smooth operator with the ball in his hands, most notably while finishing around the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='1174265' first='Jaden' last='Steppe'] (2024 Tualatin)

In a slow-paced game, Steppe was huge, recording a team-high 16 points as the Timberwolves pulled off a nail-biting comeback. The 6-foot-7 junior continued to prove himself as one of the state's most intriguing prospects due to his athleticism and outside scoring ability.

[player_tooltip player_id='1110572' first='Jayden' last='Fortier'] (2024 Tualatin)

During a game that was scrappy all around, Fortier was everywhere, tallying a game-high 10 rebounds to go alongside eight points, three steals, and an impressive help-side block. The 6-foot-5 junior is a phenomenal athlete, which was certainly on display on Friday, as Fortier made a variety of hustle plays as the Wolves erased a 10-point second half deficit to claim fifth place.

[player_tooltip player_id='1197477' first='Max' last='Elmgren'] (2023 Beaverton)

As the Beavers built their first-half lead, Elmgren was impressive, burying four threes on the night en route to a 16-point, three-assist outing. The Beavers are one of the most dangerous outside shooting teams in the state, and Elmgren is a major reason why.

[player_tooltip player_id='861092' first='Jalen' last='Childs'] (2023 Beaverton)

Childs continued to be an all-around difference maker on Friday, tallying a game-high 17 points to go alongside four rebounds and four assists. A terrific athlete with a non-stop motor, Childs is a terrific catalyst on the offensive end while being a consistent disruptor defensively. The senior point guard played the entire game on Friday.

[player_tooltip player_id='861078' first='Adrian' last='Mosley'] (2023 West Linn)

During another miraculous upset, Mosley was a massive presence yet again, helping the Lions down the nation's top-ranked team late Friday night. The shifty senior converted on five of his 10 field goal attempts against a Duncanville team that had a significant size advantage at every position. Mosley finished with 14 points, six rebounds, three assists, and a staggering six steals as the Lions fed off a raucous home and won in spectacular fashion. Mosley's ability to create off the dribble and knock down high-rising jump shots were key all night.

[player_tooltip player_id='861091' first='Jackson' last='Shelstad'] (2023 West Linn)

In the championship game, no player was more important than Shelstad, who was held to 8-of-24 field goal shooting but still managed 30 points. Don't let the percentage fool you though, Shelstad needed a lot of shots if West Linn was going to beat Duncanville, and he converted on just enough to give the Lions the win. The senior point guard's eight field goals included two crowd-pleasing threes and a variety of off-dribble pull-up jump shots. His ability to shake defenders off the dribble allowed him draw fouls all night, as he converted on 12-of-13 free throws in addition to collecting eight rebounds, one block, and one steal. On Friday night, Shelstad completed an LSI run that go down in history.
